Trusted teacher: I'm a piano and music theory teacher with over thirty years experience, and a performing singer, pianist, and songwriter. My lessons are very much about what my pupils want to learn, so I'm making sure I pick the right music to make the lesson fun and rewarding. It can be Classical music, Pop, Jazz, Brazilian music, World music, or any other interesting musical language. I teach piano, theory and harmony, ear and rhythm training, general history of music, with a creative approach. My lessons can include songwriting, sing and play practice, listening/analysing practice. My aim is to provide each pupil with the specific tools they need to enjoy playing music. My background is classical piano, but as a professional musician I have approached music also from different angles. As a teacher I enjoy a creative and open approach, any interesting musical language is welcome in the lesson. I make sure I pick the right music to meet the pupil's interests and tastes, and I integrate classical music both as a precious technique tool, and as a great territory to explore.

Hello, this is a relatively simple class to help people who are studying National 5s, Highers, and their english equivalents. As we all know, this subject can be extremely difficult for many, and it is the responsibility of those who can to help out where possible. This class would, in a case-by-case basis, go over what the student is struggling with in class, and try to find a way that is easily understandable (A learning experience for all, so to speak), and, every couple of weeks, I will set the student to complete set questions from an exam past paper, and mark it myself before going over it with them. Obviously, if there any questions or suggestions, you parents (And fellow tutors who can probably see this) can let me know - As I said, a learning experience for all. As for myself, it would not be far-fetched to say I am qualified: Though I struggled through my National 5 for Physics, barely passing in fact, with enough time and effort - Plus a very good Teacher and a very good Tutor - I was able to get an A in my Higher Physics exams. I believe that I somewhat work as a role model towards what good tutoring and effort can lead to thanks to my own experiences. Slightly more details can be found on my profile.

I am a Teaching Associate and Writing Tutor at a London University. I have been teaching History and Essay Writing to undergraduate students for the past three years. I also have experience tutoring children and teenagers to help them prepare for their exams (GCSE, A-Level, Brevet, Baccalauréat). I strongly believe the student should be at the centre of the tutor’s attention and planning every step of the way. Every tutee is different, and I will always spend the first hour discussing what their expectations are, what has worked best for them until then, and what they are struggling with. If their attention span is short, I will make sure to both work with it by adapting my lessons and work to improve it over time. If exam anxiety prevents them from achieving the results they could, I will include regular mock exams. I want my tutees to feel at ease and stress-free during our lessons, and making our time together safe and comfortable is crucial to me.

I assign creative exercises as homework, and I try to not let any question unanswered! For instrumentalists, we will look at the piano and some of its different techniques - classical, jazz, accompanying yourself, with focus on what the student actually wants to learn. For songwriters, we will go through music theory basics, and then basic harmony until we will be able to construct own our songs.

Trusted teacher: I teach every little thing a guitarist should know, like the correct hand techniques, reading music, and music theory (in a very practical way). And can teach all styles, all guitars and all levels. But most of all, my biggest passion and mission in life is to help you to be more creative and expressive. And the guitar is the best way to achieve it, of course. I encourage all my students to write music, improvise, and find their own path, voice, and sound on the guitar. Creating music is not only really fun, but it’s also the most valuable way to learn guitar and understand music on a deeper level. My current guitar students range from complete beginners to advanced guitarists. They want to embrace the joy of music in their lives and unlock their creative potential by improvising, songwriting, and music composing. Some of them work towards their diplomas and concerts, and I’m happy to support them along the journey and get great results. I believe that there are many paths to learning guitar, and I accommodate and design a plan according to your individual goals and needs. In the literature, it’s called “student-led”, and I am firmly convinced that this is the most suitable way to learn.

Sebastian - Frankfurt am Main, Germany35€
Trusted teacher: Hallo und willkommen! Ich heiße Sebastian und ich bin 31 Jahre alt. I currently work as a language teacher at the Volksuniversiteit The Hague and I love every minute I can spend with my students. A Volksuniversiteit (litt. folk university) is an institute for non-formal adult education in the Netherlands. I am a German native speaker and general language enthusiast. Besides German, I speak English, Swedish, Spanish, French and Italian. Having learned multiple languages myself I am sure that I can successfully teach you German in a fun and relaxed manner. My focus lies on speaking the language as much as possible with my students. Immersion is key to language learning. Think of small children. They are language geniuses. Why? Because they speak as soon as their brains permit them to speak, without worrying about making mistakes. Therefore, it is paramount to start using the newly learned words immediately in order to prime our brains to get comfortable with the new language. Do you already have German knowledge? No problem! Instead of building the basics we can design classes that meet your personal needs and preferences. My classes combine speaking, listening & grammar exercises in interaction with me. Furthermore, I show you German food, music and places. On top of that, I introduce you to the best technological tools (homepages and applications) to boost your language learning and take it to the next level! I am extremely confident that you very soon will have the same success that I have had in learning languages! I look forward to hearing from you! See you soon! Bis bald! Sebastian

Espace-Formation - Geneva, Switzerland89€
Trusted teacher: Whether your goal is personal or professional, speaking is a predominantly physical activity, relying on a body, a voice, a breath, a rhythm (diction) and an emotion (the imagination and the sensations, reflecting the involvement of the speaker in his speech. How to send a clear message? How to make the difference, to make an impression? How to regain self-confidence and control the management of his emotions? Knowing how to speak in public is now a necessity for the company and in the company. From a personal point of view, this is a vector for better relationships and optimal messages. On the phone, in a meeting, in front of a client or a banker (…), your public speaking must be effective and efficient with clear, simple and powerful messages, creating a match between the message received and the message sent. Simple and pragmatic tools will be presented and then put into practice for: generating listening ● making an impression ● fostering trust ● generating need ● motivating teams by explaining a strategy ● getting messages across within groups. Controlled, the method allows: • improve self-confidence and stress management with the development of the speaker's fluency (verbal-bodily), his public speaking and his sense of repartee and improvisation • to work on his ease, leadership, his NLP, his charisma, his creativity and to go towards a certain personal development, through a set of scenarios * improve the characteristics of the spoken voice (timbre, pitch, intention, flow) Completed by basic exercises (diction, voice, presence, breathing, presentation, time management ...), role plays, improvisations and simulations will be set up. With the key words: pronunciation, rhetoric, verbal and non-verbal communication, diction / articulation, the sense of repartee, structured speech (…). The goal is not only to focus on verbal communication but also on nonverbal communication, so as to make the control of his body, his voice (...), a real and lasting strength. Depending on the interaction between the trainer - coach and the one who consults, there is no single way to operate: each type of session depends on the needs and difficulties of each. In all cases, it is very often a question, while adapting to your own needs and after having precisely diagnosed your desired objective and the blockages encountered, to combine the theory (the bases of the studied concept, for example NLP / information asymmetry / the "how to say no" / the tools of non-verbal communication or the application of kinaesthesia) and its application (through exercises and direct applications). For example, are discussed: - the fundamentals of public speaking: breathing, gaze and body language - diction and elocution: rhythm and range of your voice - management of your emotions and your emotional overflow (example: stress) - work on the body, to amplify your charisma and ensure consistency between your message and your body ... with the aim of: * Enhance your presentation and arouse interest by focusing on your strengths, your qualities ... your personality * Match the content and form of your message * Improve your charisma, your self-confidence and the benefits of your emotional intelligence Postgraduate School Training & Ivy league college in the United States, specialized and worked for over 13 years, in Europe and North America, in the field of communication and public speaking in renowned public and private international institutions, involved in forums and conferences, and focused on two areas: training and coaching, with the key words pedagogy and careful methodology. PLACES - Locations: Geneva - Lausanne - Friborg - Neuchâtel - Montreux - Basel - Sion - Sierre - Morges - Bienne. But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of live (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (example: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (example: notes that can be re-read on the chat). In this context, the videoconference sessions for which you asked me to seem to suit everyone perfectly, take place very optimally and generate a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). That is why, at your request, I continue to offer this option. Take good care of yourself and yours! PROGRAM A la carte program: evaluated and adapted to each need.
