I’m from the United States and have lived in the Netherlands for 3 years. I earned a Bachelors of Arts in English and History from UNC Chapel Hill, which is ranked as one of the best public universities in the US. I then earned a Masters of Teaching from UNC in 2010. After graduating, I worked at a non profit organization and then began teaching English after earning my TEFL certification.

Since 2015, I’ve taught over 4,000 private lessons to students from all over the world. I take pride in my skills as a supportive, responsive, and empathetic teacher. I offer customized lessons for each student and strive to focus on topics they are interested in. My specialties are General English, Test Preparation, Business English, and writing/proofreading.

I also worked as a writing coach and proofreader for two British universities, where I guided students on how to improve their writing, use critical analysis, and coached skills like grammar, punctuation, and writing flow to help them succeed in their studies.
