I am Luz (or Hikari in Japanese) and I am a social impact educator from Latin America. I moved to Tokyo in February 2020 and I’m looking for opportunities to share my knowledge and experiences, and also learn from others.
I am really passionate about education and cultural diversity. I have lived in 4 different countries so far and have worked in multiple cross-country organizations in Latin America. So I have access to a wide network of people that gives me many different perspectives on the work I do.
I speak native Spanish, fluent English and have just started learning Japanese. I am constantly researching educational innovations to improve my teaching methods. My favorite approaches are growth mindset and learning through fun!
I listen to and I care about learners' needs, purposes, emotions and interests.

My name is Luz and I have a summa cum laude bachelor's degree in Education, majoring in Human Resources Development. I speak native Spanish, have full professional English competence and have just started learning Japanese. I have professional experience as an accountability partner and as a teacher of leadership, social impact and SEL skills.
My role as an accountability partner is to help you to get stuff done, especially the things on which you have been procrastinating. I will be with you in every step of the process offering personalized support. My methodology focuses on the emotional and social dimensions of procrastination as well as on following an effective goal-setting process.
