I am Assistant Professor in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, School of Early Childhood Education. I studied History and Archaeology, I hold a Master of Arts in History and Turkology, a Phd and Post-doc in Literature for children and young adults and I am a tutor for adults, cerified from the National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance. I have 13 year of experience in helping children and adults to learn Greek language through specialized courses and to get acquainted with the Greek Culture (Literature, Mythology, Conversational Greek, Walking Greek Lessons, Greek Poems and other interesting ways for practice, such as museum visits).
I prepare people for exams in the Greek Language-Ellinomatheia levels from A1-C2 and help them to obtain the Certificates from A1-C2 level by the Greek Ministry of Education.

When the sun shines, or even when it's rainy (Thessaloniki i BEAUTIFUL in rainy days) a visit at the city's museums or cultural sites such as White Tower, Rotonda, Galerius Arch, or the University Town are ideal places to learn the essence of Greek languange, etymology,and History. Take your notebook or your camera with you.

About Me

I am Assistant Professor in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Assistant Professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Pedagogical Studies, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
I teach Historical and Critical approaches to Children’s Literature
Research interests : Children’s and Young Adults’ Literature, History Studies, Memory Studies, Museum Studies, Gender Studies, Trauma Studies, Ancient Greek Mythology and Philosophy.
Studied History and Archaeology (BA, 2002-2006) and Turcology (MA, 2006-2008) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Department of History and Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy). Holding a PhD (2018) and a postdoc (2022) in Children’s Litarature (School of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Education). My dissertation was funded by the State Scholarship Foundation.
I also received a scholarship by the State Scholarship Foundation in order to teach in American Universities Greek language and Literature and to explore representations of Greek culture in contemporary adolescent novels and picturebooks for children.
Co- editor; Reviewer of 17 Greek and international academic journals; Author of over 80 publications, including three monographs (the last one, published on September 2023).

Experience / Qualifications

13 years of experience as a teacher and tutor providing one on one lessons. I prepare people for exams in the Greek Language-Ellinomatheia levels from A1-C2 and help them to obtain the Certificates from A1-C2 level by the Greek Ministry of Education. I also teach students to pass national entrance examinations.
