I am an interior Yachtbuilding Engineer, graduate of Interior Architecture.

The purpose of this course is to equip the student with the architectural drawing skills needed to succeed in the Architectural, Engineering or Design industry for both academic and professional development.

Indicative subjects:
-Introduction to linear drawing
-Understanding Architectural drawings
-Principles of Architectural Drawing
-Drafting Floorplans, Ceilingplans, Elevations (Sections)
-Detail Engineering
-Understanding 3d Models

Indicative Materials & Tools:
-Architects drawing set (Parallelograph, Pencils, Erasers, Canson Paper, Drafting Tracing Paper, Rapidographs, Inks, Razors etc.)
-Laptop or Macbook
-Autocad
-Siemens NX

Informations supplémentaires

All the materials needed for the first lesson are included. We will then discuss the tools and materials needed for the next lessons.

👋 Who I am?
My name is Shuchen — I’m a trained visual artist from China and France, now based in Delft.
In these workshops, I share the creative learning style I grew up with: each session explores a new material, technique, or concept — just like in a professional art atelier.

Join any week — each session is independent, but connects to a bigger journey.

✨ Workshop Details:
When: Every Wednesday, 19:00–22:00 (2hours guidance +1hour self drawing time )
Small Group: Max 8 people for personalised attention.

🎨 Not just a workshop — a creative journey.
Each week we explore a new topic or technique — from line drawing, sketch to painting. Get to know materials: pencil, charcoal, acrylic, oil painting, Chinese ink. Dive in to various styles: Impressionism, Fauvism and Surrealism — just like in real art school.
Every session is beginner-friendly and independent, so you can join anytime. It’s perfect if you want more than a one-time experience — and want to grow real skills over time.

Most short workshops focus on just one thing — plant, portrait or landscape. But real artists learn to see and understand the principles. So that you can find your own way to create.
In my workshops, we go deeper and learn the grammer of visual art: exploring value, color theory, composition and creativity through many styles.
Think of it like an art school evening — but cozy, flexible, and beginner-friendly.

👩‍🎨My teaching method:
I’m an art teacher with my own atelier, and I also teach at a local art centre. I run creative workshops for both kids and adults from all kinds of backgrounds. I love designing classes that mix hands-on technique with Art history.
I’m really enjoying guiding people discover their own expression in art.
My approach tend to be student-focused which also shaped by my international background. For me, it is important creating a welcoming space where people feel free and inspired to explore. Whether someone’s picking up a brush for the first time or coming back to art after years, I’m there to encourage them.

Let’s spend this summer growing your skills, one brushstroke at a time. See you at the studio!
