My name is Pia, I am Norwegian.
I hold a Business & Finance degree from Dubai & UK. Along with a writer degree from BBC writing school.

I teach English both speaking and writing for children, up until young adults.

My teaching method is based on playing on the children's strength, and therefore implement games, activities and roleplay as a big part of my teaching.
Along with this, I play on childrens great imagine abilities and using this to ensure that what they learn sticks to their long-term memory.
The methods I use are built on both the mind logic and the creative part.

I strive for that the children will experience joy, learning and feeling that they can do it. For me, all of this starts with their feeling safe and trust me. So in the start, I will emphasize the importance of getting to know each other.

My classes are built on the natural strength of children and their gifts, that is, using: Play, activities and having them active in class.
To ensure that what they learn to stick to their long-time memory I use their imagination and storytelling as a tool.
I will strive to ensure that they will feel that they are learning, and having fun.

The method I use is based on playing on our mind logic sense, but also implementing the creative side. When these two are put together the learning is more fun, AND faster.

Hello! I have been teaching English for five years, to adults and children alike. I offer classes that are uniquely adapted to the students needs and their interests. My aim is to build my student's confidence, by following their line of inquiry — engaging in a rich, and increasingly challenging dialogue with the individual.

My classes are for adults and professionals, who want to:

. Need help preparing for an exam, a paper or an important interview;

We will begin by identifying the student's greatest interests — those subjects they are most curious about and topics that stimulate them. These topics will be "stimulators", fueling conversations and language activities that the student themselves will eventually lead. Then, we will identify the student's biggest worries regarding the English language — where they are confused, or tend to make mistakes. This will form the workshop part of the lesson, focused on overcoming tricky grammatical mistakes and revising more complex linguistic and phonetic errors.

After 8 years of teaching I have found this tailored approach to be, by far, the most effective. I look forward to collaborating with you soon!
