While in university I worked doing promotions and being a brand ambassador for different companies part time.
I also worked as a floor manager for a few months at one of the on-campus food vendors before they closed.

While finishing my last year of studies I went on to volunteer at a preschool and help out as an assistant teacher during my holidays and days off, after which I taught at that same preschool for 3 more years.

I then moved on to doing ABA therapy (behavioral therapy) with children with Autism and related disorders for 3 years, working my way up to team lead and even spending a year of that time working in Saudi Arabia doing the same thing.

When back in South Africa I moved onto tutoring, giving Reading therapy, confidence building, and facilitating children of varying ages through their homeschooling curriculum while also creating other learning content to expand their knowledge even more and build their confidence in their work.

As a previous IGCSE & IB student graduate I understand the stress and difficulty in preparing for both the Mid-terms and End of year exams. Hello! 안녕세요! My name is Aki and I will soon graduate with a bachelor's degree in "Korean Studies" at Leiden University, part of which I spent at Sogang University in South Korea. During my studies, I mainly focus on pronunciation and conversation. However, during my stay in Korea, I noticed a big difference between "textbook Korean" and the Korean that people speak in everyday life. In my lessons, I try to keep this difference as small as possible and make it sound as natural as possible by focusing on conversations and modern vocabulary. We work with grammar, vocabulary and conversations around an overarching theme.
Although I have a basic package for beginners, I find it very important to look at the goals of the student.
