My name is Dilan, I am 32 years old and I live in Erbil. I am a Kurdish language teacher with a strong background in both Kurdish and Turkish instruction. I graduated from the Kurdish Language Department at Salahaddin University and have seven years of teaching experience in an international IB school.

I teach both Kurdish and Turkish, and I enjoy helping students of all ages build confidence in speaking, reading, and writing. My lessons are structured, clear, and adapted to each learner’s goals. I graduated from Salahaddin University, from the Kurdish Language Department, where I developed strong linguistic knowledge and teaching skills. Turkish courses for adults and teenagers (from 12 years old; I do not give a class to kids under that age). For all levels (from A1 to C2). Courses adapted to the student's level. Focus on requested topics. Many years of experiences. Good references. Beginning to learn a language is a crucial step and level. Conversational language course is focused on spoken language and sometimes learners lack this and need to focus on it. I will help you learn Conversational Turkish and step by step you will be able to understand the spoken Turkish.
During the class, we will work on your prononciation and the eventual little grammar mistakes that you would do.

This course is mainly focused on the oral communication, with very little of grammar. If you already have some knowledge and are looking for communication training, then this course will fit you perfectly.

I currently hold the certificate "Teaching Turkish as a foreign language" issued by the language center of Istanbul University in Turkey after having followed 36 hours of seminars and exams, and 15 hours of lesson observation.

I use a fairly technical Turkish method but I adapt for those who want to learn only the oral language.

We will start our lessons by learning the most basic skills such as correct pronunciation and simple grammar rules.
We will continue to improve our speaking, listening and grammar levels by learning new informations step by step.
Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
