My name is Marie-Estelle, I am 20 and I am studying environmental anthropology in The Hague, Netherlands. I am French and Austrian, therefore having a perfect insight into both languages and cultures. I am also perfectly fluent in English since it is the language of my studies.

I have graduated from my High school with my baccalaureat and my Abitur in 2018 with an average of 16/20. From Autumn 2018 onwards I have been studying at Leiden University College, majoring in environmental anthropology and minoring in archeology. GPA:3,0. I am currently learning Egyptian Arabic because I will be going on exchange there next year!

Firstly I would say that I am particularly skilled and comfortable with children. From my youngest age I have been tutoring and babysitting. I am also a scout leader since many years, and I have organised numbers of summer camps and monthly activities for children of all ages. It's always been a priority for me to communicate important skills through fun activities and approaches and it has always worked out the best!
I have already taught German in the past, from 2016 to 2018. In high school I have been coaching students for debate and lobbying, which taught me even more pedagogy and how to keep students interested.

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.
Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach.

In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level).

We mainly go for quality and not just running a lesson. I am really involved in the progress of the student. In addition to teaching, I want to do everything to really motivate students to take the next step. That is my strength!

You can also choose the online lesson package with Whereby, Teams or Zoom in a comfortable way. Online classes are one-on-one or maximum one-on-two, for better results.

My English is fluent, as well as Portuguese and Spanish. I understand the difficulties of overcoming barriers for Latin languages and for expats in general, as I have also been an expat.

Online lessons last 75 minutes once a week for 10 weeks to reach a higher level.

This is the normal speed. Including exam training (A-2 or Staatsexamen) and exam at the end.

Intensive training ? That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1

As soon as students want to further improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the State Exam I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities.

I will try to switch to conversation after a few lessons, to put your knowledge into practice as soon as possible. Don't get too caught up in the grammar.

Teaching is my ultimate passion and even after 25 years it feels like the first time and students always feel inspired to overcome the obstacles.

I also teach you about Dutch social culture, which is intertwined in the course and is strongly related to the language.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.

I had the opportunity to work in several non-profit organizations (Schola ULB, Youth Club, CIFA, ABEF) where I helped young adolescents understand their subject in French. I also helped them prepare for their exams, including the CEB and CE1D.
