Hello,

Master student from the Musik Akademie Basel, I'm offering singing lessons for beginners to advanced singers.

Specific repertoires we can work on go from medieval music, traditional songs, to classical opera. Bring anything you would like to work on, and I can also suggest new repertoire for you.

We will focuse on bodywork, breathing exercices, vocal technique and interpretation. If needed, we can also look at music theory.

Singer trained at the Schola Cantorum of Basel (from medieval chant to the 20th century), I offer a general singing course: basic vocal technique (posture, breath work, sound work), discovery of different repertoires (depending on the student's tastes; pop repertoires also possible), work on interpretation. I can accompany the student on the keyboard. I work with people of all ages, beginners or not. The goal is to progress in a climate of trust.

You can also contact me for music theory lessons only (reading notes and rhythm, deciphering, notions of music theory, ear work).

I finally give piano lessons to beginners.

I can give the course in French or English, German and Spanish are also possible.
Lessons can take place at my home or at the student's home.

Die Gitarre ist ein Instrument, das auch ohne großes musikalisches Vorwissen gut zu erlernen ist. Der Schwerpunkt deines Gitarrenunterrichts liegt ganz klar in der Praxis. Ein bisschen Theorie muss manchmal sein, aber das erarbeiten wir gemeinsam und einfach. Wenn du es möchtest, gerne auch detailliert.
Das Ziel deines Unterrichts bestimmst du: Sei es das Begleiten von Liedern am Lagerfeuer, das Solieren zu backing tracks oder das Erarbeiten von aktuellen oder alten Songs - zusammen bekommen wir das hin!

Zu meiner Person:
Ich bin Pascal, 26 Jahre alt und spiele seit mehr als 12 Jahren Akustik und E- Gitarre. Seit 2019 gebe ich Gitarrenunterricht und nehme neue Schüler - auch von anderen Lehrern - auf.
Besonders wichtig ist mir hierbei zeitlich flexiblen und günstigen Unterricht zu geben, bei dem du auch nur die Stunden zahlst, die du auch genommen hast. Hierbei findet der Unterricht bei mir Zuhause statt.

Everybody can sing!
In my classes I will guide you to find your own voice, through vocal exercises and movements, self-perception and listening. My desire is that the student enjoys his or her voice and singing without hurting or using extra tension and specially that he/she has the tools to know the instrument, so to know yourself.
In addition to vocal technique, I offer interpretation tools and music theory through repertoire work (songs) so that the student can interpret different styles and sing along with other musicians.
I studied vocal technique with teachers from the Rabine Institute in Germany and I have also taken a lot of courses of dance, theater and Alexander Technique that I use for my lessons in order to have an holistic approach of the voice and our body as an instrument. Let's have fun!

Learning to sing is a process that comes from within; a story that makes you take the step to improve yourself; to find a way to discover what you believe is best for you and your voice.
But what are we looking for in a singing lesson? Are we really aware of this? Regardless of your level, it is important to be aware of your singing practice as it connects us to our essence and allows us to more accurately express who we are. There will be mistakes, there will be moments of doubt, but I am here to accompany you. The voice will gradually reveal itself, like a stone being carved to express the object of our imagination and desires.

I teach different types of music such as pop, jazz, hip-hop, and rock.
