All parts of two dimensional art are based in the core components of shape, line, form, color, texture, value, and rhythm. This class will serve as a crash course in how to identify the parts of a whole subject and translate it into whichever medium you wish to try. Class time will be spent constructing subjects using shape, exploring forms of still life's, implementing and explaining the use of references, understanding basic lighting and shadow, applying line weight, understanding basic color theory, and sharing techniques used to successfully portray an artistic subject. If you're interested in digital art, you can learn how to create digital arts using Krita, a free digital arts software that I highly recommend for it's tools and features similar to that of Photoshop's. If you already experimented on your own software, I will help you with rendering, anatomy, and composition. If you're interested in painting, I can provide materials if needed. I am experienced with both oil painting and acrylic painting. I can help you create both Fine Arts, or illustration.
