Violin lessons for all levels and all ages. I have been teaching violin for 2 years, I work with children and with adults. And for me, it's very interesting - to share my passion and love for music with other people. I really want to help and teach each person because I think music is very important to all of us. I am a Clarinet, Saxophone and Vocal coach from Zimbabwe with over a decade of teaching and performance experience from leading a successful solo career and working as a music teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jazz singing from Haute Ecole de Musique (HEMU) Lausanne where I am currently studying a Masters in Jazz Pedagogy. I have also studied music in Dublin Ireland, where I acquired a Higher Certificate in Jazz and Contemporary Music from Newpark Music Centre's Berklee Track program which is facilitated by Berklee College of Music in Boston. I was the 2024 laureat of the Foundation Casino Barrier Award for talent and creativity and a 2018 winner of the Zimbabwean National Arts Council's National Arts Merit Award (NAMA). I am excited to find eager students at all levels who are keen to learn and challenge themselves in making and learning music. My classes are dynamic, engaging and well prepared.

Student at the Lausanne music school, I offer saxophone lessons. My experience playing in very varied ensembles and styles (chamber music, metal groups, rock, funk, Cuban, gospel, tango, orchestras, big jazz band, etc.) and with various musical instruments has allowed me to allowed us to develop a versatile musical approach. I followed a classical conservatory course in guitar and saxophone, then a jazz saxophone course. The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music. In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument. We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues.
