Violin music lessons and music theory for children and young people

I offer violin lessons for all levels, from beginners to advanced students. I’m a current master's student at HeMu, with a completed bachelor's degree from Universität der Künste (UdK) Berlin, I bring both extensive knowledge and practical experience to my teaching. During my studies in Berlin, I not only taught privately but also assisted my Professor in her violin class at UdK, gaining valuable experience working with students of various levels and backgrounds. Whether you're preparing for exams, auditions, or simply want to enjoy learning the violin, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals and needs. My approach focuses on building a strong technical foundation, musicality, and fostering a passion for the instrument. Lessons are available in English and German.

A passionate guitarist since adolescence, I have been playing for over 14 years in several bands on the French-speaking Swiss scene (notably "Ash the Ash" and "Siebob"), with whom I have recorded two EPs and an album. Trained at the EMA (École des Musiques Actuelles – Geneva), I followed the stage course there, guitar option, up to the pre-professional diploma. Curious and versatile, I explore many styles: rock, pop, funk, metal, jazz... Each student is different, and I adapt my lessons to your desires, your level, and your objectives - whether you simply want to have fun, progress seriously, or get on stage!

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable. Hi, I'm Laura, I'm a cellist and I love to share my musical knowledge with other people. I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student.
