Cello lessons for all levels and ages - LILLE

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Do you want to discover the cello, the most beautiful instrument in the world, or to learn more about it? I propose to guide you. I teach both in my apartment in the center of Lille and at home.

    My pedagogy:
Having been trained in the great French tradition of the cello, I keep the requirement while advocating an absolute openness to the wishes of my students. The lessons are then a meeting between your desires or needs - whether classical, rock, jazz, pop, tango, samba, need for support lessons - and my determination to help you move forward and make you more and more autonomous.
I am also available for music theory lessons.

My journey in a few words:
The cello has been my companion since I was 6 years old. After starting theater studies, I found my happiness in music. With this dual experience, I now hold the final diploma from the Aubervilliers la Courneuve regional conservatory (CRR 93), and am continuing my studies at the École Supérieure de Musique et de Danse (ESMD) in Lille. I am also a graduate of the Center du Formation du Musicien d'Orchestre (CFMO), which allowed me to train with musicians from the most beautiful French orchestras. Finally, I cultivate a great love for chamber music. In particular, I was able to practice the string quartet, benefiting from the advice of the Voce and Van Kuijk quartets, and the piano trio under the aegis of the Leos trio.

Contact me if you have any questions, I will answer them as quickly as possible.

I will teach you the piano whatever your level!
Whether you have never touched a piano, whether you only have the basics, whether you have difficulties or facilities, I will be able to give you lessons that will make you progress very quickly. My learning at the conservatory explained everything to me about academic methods and my self-taught learning allows me to know how to learn the piano without a teacher and regular lessons. I have about twenty performances to my credit including about ten concerts over more than 10 years of piano, take a look at my presentation for more details, I met many famous teachers, and I myself was a teacher for self-taught students. I guarantee you rapid progress adapted to your request! I will be able to help you on all styles of music, and whatever your level. The course can take place at your place or mine. If you've been thinking about it for a long time but you don't know how to go about it, If you find that you are not progressing fast enough or that your progress is not satisfactory, If you want to discover new methods and new ways of seeing and working on your piano, Don't wait any longer!

Violin, Viola, Music theory lessons at the Orchester National de Lille
Musician at the National Orchestra of Lille, I am passionate about pedagogy and transmission. My Violin, Viola and music theory lessons are suitable for and suitable for everyone. Generally lasting 1 hour, lessons can be structured in different ways according to individual needs. For the past ten years I have been giving lessons in Musical Training, violin and viola both with the aim of providing personalized support for students following courses in conservatories but also within the framework of a unique and adapted learning and for all levels. —————— Passionate, curious, and endowed with an artistic sensibility, the violist Julie is involved in many projects, both collective, innovative and educational. After having studied the viola with Michel Michalakakos, then in the class of David Gaillard and Nicolas Bone at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in June 2016, she perfected her Master's degree. in the class of Lawrence POWER at the Hochschule Zürich (ZHDK) She has already won several awards and prizes as a solo performer (Competition L. Bellan 2010, Contest Young Altistes 2011) but it is for the moment especially in collective experiences that it flourishes. She has, in fact, participated in numerous Festivals and Orchestral Academies of international dimension (French Youth Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Joung Orchestra, Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival, ...) and was a member of the Academy of the orchestra of the Zürich Opera. She collaborates today with several professional orchestras (Paris Opera, National Orchestra of France, Orchestra of Paris, Opera of Zürich, ...). This pleasure of artistic sharing is also part of her practice of chamber music: member of the trio Desdémone (Alto, Clarinet, Piano) with which she participated in several festivals, she also participated in Zermatt Music Festival Academy, (music of chamber and chamber orchestra) with musicians from the Berlin Philharmonic. She explores different formations and regularly performs in sets with different geometries, and in various artistic worlds (Jazz, improvised music, ...) It is in this common artistic vibration that Julie wants to pursue her career, she also wishes to transmit her passion through pedagogy and hopes to develop projects of cultural mediation and musical awareness. She is now a violist in the National Orchestra of Lille.

Music Production for composers, musicians, producers
Beatmaking is the art of putting the right drums with the right melodies : but it's deeper than that. Music composition encompasses a lot of skills and requires a deep understanding of our own tastes, culture, and social skills in order to create the most authentic sound that we can think of.

Cello Lessons at All Levels, Adapted to the Student's Needs
My teaching method is carefully tailored to the specific needs of each student, regardless of the subject we are working on (music theory, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.). The pace of learning is always set by the student, ensuring that each lesson aligns realistically with their goals and interests. Whether you're looking for a more flexible, amateur approach — open to personal interests — or a more structured plan aimed at exams, auditions, or academic improvement, I design a personalized learning path for each case. My approach is rooted in a highly practical vision of learning, inspired by the educational model in which I was trained during my master’s degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). I view teaching as a dynamic process, where deep understanding takes precedence over rote memorization.

Private guitar lessons for every level: from basic chords to out of the box improvisation
Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions and I will answer as soon as possible. See you soon! Richard PS: my specified hours are a guideline, if this does not suit you, you can certainly send us a message and we will try to arrange something :)

    John
Professional jazz musician teaching jazz, blues, funk, R&B, pop, rock, latin and classical piano.
I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.
