Come and discover wool as a material for creative expression !

In this course you will learn how to use wool to create your own felt fabric. Using the wet and needle felting processes you will be able to create a variety of 2D to 3D artworks and crafts. Achieve illustrative/abstract images, as well as sculptures, objects, and accessories. Each course is guided by an idea focused on a specific material finish and it's method.

* The program to get a complete introduction of felting consist in 4 lessons of 1 h 30 min each.
(Longer project tutoring is available on request.)

* Material is included in the general price.

* Price for individuals and groups varies. The program is adapted depending on the age

* Language of teaching : ENGLISH, SPANISH, FRENCH.

You will learn:

· Wet felting. Needle felting. Fading, collage, inserts, vessel methods.

· About the felting use and meaning in history.

· Cultivate awareness on natural material and empowerment through DIY culture and tools.

· Understand physical transformative processes (how water, heat, and
friction transform matter).

· Develop self-confidence, motor skills, and an authentic creative language, while developping patience and introspection trough and experimental and somatic approach.

My name is Mélissa, I am 26 years old, and I am a french-Mexican polyform artist based in Berlin for 2 and a half years. I Obtained my master degree in fine arts in France in 2023, and since then I 've been participating in group exhibitions, art fairs, residencies and won an award. I am a fan of DIY methods, arts and craft around textile and fiber methods, and also enjoy painting and illustration. Are you willing to learn drawing or painting? Do you wish to improve what you already know?

I graduated from an art school where I learned all the important classical techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. I would like to pass on the knowledge I have acquired through my studies and practice and give those who so wish the opportunity to go on a journey into the world of art and improve their language and technique.
The lessons are open to all levels.

The techniques covered range from drawing with pencil, charcoal and pastel chalk to all painting styles (watercolor, oil, acrylic, tempera). You have the opportunity to experiment on different types of paper (with different weights and colors) and canvases.

The topics change from lesson to lesson and can range from the human body to the landscape to the wildlife, depending on your preferences and desires.

Particular attention is paid to the method so that the finished work is clean, pleasant and as expressive as possible.

Hi, I study cello at the Barenboim-Said Academy and have been studying with Sennu Laine (solo cellist of the Vienna State Opera) for five years. All levels are welcome for cello lessons, while my piano teaching skills cover beginners and advanced students. I'm flexible regarding travel within the city and could come and teach students. I have studied Lecoq Technique(Pantomime, Tragedy, Drama, Mask Theater, Clown) and Decroux (Mime Corporel). These are physical theater approaches. I am passionate about moving the body in space and the effect it brings. Finding the humor in the physicality and rhythm delightens my everyday life and I am happy to share the fun.

To do this, we stay at the location, we explore it, what do we notice? Who uses it and how? Are there strange objects or situations that irritate me here?
How can I capture or portray this place artistically?
The medium can be freely chosen; it can be a photograph or series, a painting, a drawing, a map, a film or something else. It can be a sketch for a larger project or a test system.
Examples of artworks are shown as input, and there are collegial sessions where the participants discuss their designs and get feedback. I support the participants throughout the entire process.
The course is structured in such a way that we alternate between exploring the site and working time in the studio.

I’m a native Italian speaker with a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, I studied in particular English, German and Italian didactic. Right now I'm about to take a Master's Degree in Translation for International Relations.
Three years ago I started teaching Italian during my university internship and I understood that's what I want to do for a living. Since then I never stopped: I volunteered as an Italian teacher to refugees and I started teaching online courses for those who love and would like to get to know this beautiful language! I also attended a specific course about teaching languages using games and a playful approach for adults.

I use a fresh approach to language teaching: I like to adjust my method to my student. I taught to people coming from all around the world and of all ages: from 8 to 71! My method depends on the source language; the starting level; the final goal; in which context the student would like to use Italian, and so on. I like to include games, songs and novels in my lessons, if the student is interested in any of these.

My name is Luciano and I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have been teaching Spanish for more than 15 years and I have worked in several institutes and embassies as a teacher and cultural bridge. I am currently living in Berlin where I am developing a personal project and working as a teacher online and in face-to-face classes.

Normally I am interested in generating a creative bond with my students and that is why I work with many of them for relatively long periods of time. In the classes I am interested in having a solid grammar structure but the emphasis is on conversation. In this way I feel that a rich and interesting interaction is generated where, honestly, I myself learn from my students‘ experiences and points of view.

I am convinced, as a language learner myself, that learning a language is not simply a tool for communication. I feel that to learn another language is to open oneself to another code or way of thinking and perceiving the world. For example, Romance languages (Spanish, Italian, French, etc.) think and feel the world in a different way than Germanic languages (English, German, etc.) I am fascinated by these differences and similarities. Traveling in Japan, I could only admire the beauty of how we represent the world through our language.

I feel that in a world that is becoming increasingly depersonalized and where artificial intelligence and algorithms seem to creep into every corner of our lives, maintaining human, imperfect and warm contacts is a form of resistance. In that sense, both in my project with sacred languages such as philosophy and astrology and in language classes, I try to maintain the human dimension and respect the beauty and multidimensionality of communication.

Apart from my background in philosophy at university, I am interested in art, politics, culture as an expression of an epoch, psychoanalysis, comparative religions, etc. In this context, with many of my more advanced students we work with texts and films where our interests intersect.

For the more beginning classes the emphasis is also on conversation, but with a grammatical framework and progression. That is why I am interested in understanding the students‘ objectives. Whether learning for pleasure or for a trip, to take an international exam or for cultural reasons, I believe that framing the classes in a structure allows the creative to emerge.
