English Literature and Language and Greek Language

This course, divided into two different parts depending on the subject of interest (English or Greek/Ancient Greek), is for aspiring students to learn a language, support their arguments and express their ideas with clarity.

The results of this effort are directed by the importance of communicating through language. The aim is to create a challenging learning environment, which will be anything but overwhelming.

As a tutor, I specialise in the methodology of learning. My primary focus is on the ways through which students enjoy the learning process so that memorizing details and rules wouldn't be very difficult or uninspiring.
Grammar is important, however, the method through which a student can get interested in it, is what matters the most.

Homework will be assigned weekly, however, its role is of less importance compared to the actual attendance of the students during the course.

Teamwork is the key to this beautiful door called 'learning a language'.

I have been an examiner for AQA and am familiar with both AQA and Edexcel GCSE and A-level specifications, having taught the Edexcel spec before. I have tutored French to children (beginner to bilingual) and adults. The planning and delivery of my classes will be dependent on the individual needs of my students.

I have also worked as a primary school teacher and am an excellent teacher of primary school maths and English.

Hi there, my name is Ben and I am a recent 1st class graduate from the University of Glasgow in Scots Law! I am able to teach anything related to Law, or school subjects such as English, Geography, Economics and French as I received A* grades at these subjects in high school!

I have experience as a tutor for younger children as I co-ordinated a peer tutoring scheme, in which I taught the aforementioned subjects. My teaching style is organised, with worksheets and questions designed to make the student think deeply and use their knowledge, rather than merely giving them the answers. I am extremely friendly, patient and happy to work with students and adults of all ages, who I love to see succeed academically and build their general confidence levels.

I am very flexible with timings, locations and pricing so feel free to drop me a message!

I am proficient in English, French, and Latin. If you would like one-on-one assistance with any of these languages, feel free to get in touch with me. As a linguist I am happy to provide 'deep' explanations of each language's grammar and phonetics should you ask for them.

I am a friendly and supportive teacher of both English and French as foreign languages. I have over 5 years of experience teaching English and French in Switzerland and a MA in French and Spanish.
