French has never been an easy language, and it’s always courageous to challenge yourself by learning it! I'm here to help you on this journey.

I’ve taught people from many different backgrounds in the past—from full classes in middle school to private lessons for adults and young children.

We’ll start by understanding your goals for learning French—whether academic, professional, or personal. From there, we’ll build a personalized program together, including oral practice, grammar exercises (yes, we can’t skip those!), and plenty of conversations to tackle one of the most challenging parts: pronunciation!

I like doing regular check-ins with my students so we can keep improving our lessons together.

All levels are welcome!

Hello! I offer French lessons in Los Angeles. French is my native language—I studied in Paris and earned two Bachelor's degrees in Archaeology and History, as well as a Master’s degree in History from the Sorbonne, Paris.

I’m living in Los Angeles this year and would be happy to offer private lessons either online or at your home. I already have experience as a private tutor. I taught both French and Italian at home for three years, and I received my teaching diploma in France last year!

Since there’s no age limit to learning a language or improving your skills, don’t hesitate to reach out—no matter your level of French. I’d be happy to help you improve!

My name is Nina & I've been teaching French for 8 years. I have a master's degree in teaching & a certification to correct and examine DELF/DALF exams with Alliance française.
Most of my classes focus on speaking because it is often the most difficult skill to master and requires the most practice. However, I adapt each class according to your level, goals and interests so we can also focus on specific needs (DELF/DALF preparation, business French...)

I love to teach through culture & authentic documents (songs, newspaper articles, movie clips...) because it makes the lessons more lively, interesting & FUN! I take notes during the lesson in order to offer you a corrective assessment and exercises to remedy your mistakes.

Learning a language requires regularity so I would also give you homework & recommend you websites, movies, series, shows so that you can continue to learn outside the classroom ;)
