Friends and family call me Debbie, so that’s how you’re going to call me too! 😊 I hold a degree in psychology and am a licensed professional in Greece, currently pursuing my MSc in Health Psychology! I love learning new languages and exploring different cultures and perspectives. I have a B2 certificate in Spanish, and I’m currently learning Korean. About the Classes: Classes are designed for all levels, and together, we’ll cover different aspects of the Greek language, including: 📝The Greek alphabet 📝Grammar rules 📝Vocabulary ⚠️Important Note: Since I’m not a certified Greek language teacher but a native speaker, I will teach you Modern Greek from the perspective of a native. The focus will be on speaking practice (writing can also be taught), and building vocabulary to help you understand everyday conversations and express yourself with ease. If you aim for casual learning of the language I can also assist you. If you already have a good knowledge of Modern Greek and just want to sharpen your skills, I can help you with extra speaking practice and answer any grammar questions to improve the flow of your speech and deepen your understanding.

This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the modern Greek language and culture. Throughout the course, we will focus on developing listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills, using contemporary Greek culture as a reference. Various homework exercises will be assigned to assess students' progress, with particular emphasis on grammar, syntax, and spelling. The goal is to help students expand their vocabulary and effectively use it to construct grammatically accurate phrases and sentences. To accommodate diverse learning styles, we will explore different teaching methods, such as listening to songs, watching YouTube videos and listening to Spotify podcasts, reading excerpts from Greek texts, and utilizing online teaching tools like Mentimeter and Quizlet. The aim is to cater to the unique needs of each student and make the learning experience engaging and enjoyable.
