Who? I am a twenty-eight-year-old French and U.S. Anthropology student. I am trained in FLE (French as a Second Language) and have worked for the National French Education Ministry as a Middle School Teacher on the beautiful island of Mayotte. Following that exotic experience, I decided to change course and study Anthropology all the while teaching French as a Second Language on a freelance basis. I moved to the Netherlands just recently and have decided to continue practicing as a French tutor. I have also tutored English classes in France for five years. What? I offer French or FLE (French as a Second Language) courses based on multiple sources and I regularly renew them because it is important to be in adequacy with today's society. As I just started learning Dutch, I teach in English all the while aiming for 90% French during the class. Where? Normally I go to the learner's home. For the moment, online courses are also popular. When? I work every day of the week.

My lessons are usually mostly conversational. I think that the best way to learn a language is to fully immerse yourself in it, so I like to just speak French to my students. In case of a lack of understanding, I try to explain words with synonyms that the student might know, or signs, or, as a last resort, I translate them into English. I can also help with French grammar or with learning how to write anything from short texts to long essays.

Hi I'm French. I have just moved to Amsterdam and I offer you my services for French courses. Beginner-school level, for your children or for yourself. I can move or I can give them at home I only speak French and English.

The purpose of this class is to learn french through the french culture and oral conversation. There will be different approaches to learning french : activities related to the French culture (depending on the age and personal preferences), a more conventional method of learning (for grammar for example, if needed), oral conversation (about actuality, the culture, art,...), and possibly the study of books, texts, movies in french. During the class I will mostly speak french, and I consider oral conversation a very important part of the class. If you need to focus on grammar, spelling, or conjugation it is not a problem at all and the exercises will evolve with your specific needs and level. I always estimate your level and the points we need to work on during the first class so we know on what to focus on. If you feel the need to learn even more, I will also give homework such as specific grammar exercises, and I will recommend to you some books to read in french or movies to watch depending on your interests.
