My main goals as a teacher are to help my students improve their technical skill, mature their musical ideas and learn effective practice methods. The outline of my typical lesson consists of scales, a study and a piece. This creates a solid technical foundation while also expanding the students repertoire. Depending on the student’s goals, I can also incorporate aural/ sight reading practice into the lesson to move onto the ABRSM or Trinity syllabus to prepare for graded exams.
