Private lessons in mathematics, chemistry or physics for students aged 7 to 18

As a third-year Life Sciences student at EPFL, I offer math and physics-chemistry courses for students up to high school level. I earned a science baccalaureate with a specialization in mathematics and physics-chemistry, and have been giving private lessons for several years. My goal is to help each student progress methodically and confidently, in a caring environment adapted to their pace. During the lessons, we focus on understanding key concepts, applying them through targeted exercises, and developing lasting autonomy in scientific subjects.

I am a second-year master's student at EPFL, in biology. I offer support courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The course offers a possibility of help for students having difficulties in the proposed courses. The student will find a framework where he can ask these questions, discuss methodologies and improve. Putting my knowledge at the service of other people is a plus that I like to share. Dear student, I am a chemist graduated from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). I have always been fascinated by science and now I hold a doctorate in solid-state physics from the University of Geneva. Science subjects can help you pass exams. I have been teaching these disciplines for many years during exercise sessions held at the University as well as in private lessons given as an independent. For this reason, you will have the possibility to ask me for explanations on any subject. It is indeed useful that you can progress on the basis of what you already know. You will of course have the choice to ask me for remedial lessons to revise or discover entire chapters. Before the first lesson starts, I will invite you to explain your situation to me freely and free of charge so that we can work effectively from the first lesson. All scientific subjects have in common a method that is called "scientific logic". Whenever the opportunity arises, I will offer you elements of this method because it is this method that will allow you to understand durably and to solve the exercises rigorously. Student in the second year of a master's degree in Chemistry at EPFL, I offer individualized pedagogy, help with the preparation of questions or exams as well as homework support. I can offer you a level from high school to university. My goal is to help you progress while enjoying studying subjects that are not always easy for everyone.

Master student at EPFL, I would be happy to help you (you or your child) for the subjects where you have difficulties! At university, I have been an assistant in Chemistry for the first years of EPFL for a few years as well as for a course linking mathematics and electronics, called Signals and Systems. So I am used to teaching and explaining concepts to students with difficulties. I also give private lessons to students passing the Swiss maturity or the French baccalaureate. To try to see together the difficulties as well as the misunderstandings: we go back to the lesson together, we do an exercise together and then I let the student do it independently and we review together if he is blocked or if we need to correct. I finished my Doctorate in Physics at EPFL and now I teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English to secondary I and secondary II students. I offer personalized support for each student, while considering their objectives. I help students in difficulty to pass their exams, but also those who want to reach a level of excellence and perhaps go a little beyond the school curricula. The courses will be adapted to each individual case. I prioritize comprehension to the detriment of memorization and I help students develop their mathematical / scientific reasoning, in order to make them more autonomous. As important as transmitting knowledge is to share passion through science.

I am in my third year of mathematics at EPFL. I am available almost all week. I am fluent in Dutch, French and English. I already have experience with private lessons that I gave for two years in Maths, Physics, Latin, English and French to high school students. I am also an assistant in Maths (Analysis, Algebra) and Physics at EPFL for first year students. I am therefore able to give lessons / support for all levels.
