I've been playing the violin for about 50 years. I started taking violin lessons as a teenager for about five years, but that was a long time ago. After that, I studied on my own. Now, I've been playing privately for some time and, when I have extra time, I'm looking for professional coaching and monitoring of my violin playing. Therefore, I'm looking for a good violin teacher. I found what I was looking for through Apprentus. With Costanza. My goal is to improve my general technique, my bowing technique, to develop my playing in different positions, and especially to work on my – let’s say – innate weakness in keeping time, and to develop my amateur understanding of music. In Costanza, I found a young, modern, highly trained musician with whom I felt at home from day one. I only took my fourth lesson yesterday. But... Costanza has an intuitive sense of what's important for my violin playing, what areas we should focus on, and what absolutely needs to be improved. She pays close attention (and listens, of course). I love her direct manner. In addition to pure technique, she also accompanies lessons such as duets, which also incorporate the fun factor. The phrase in her self-description: "...tailor-made approaches..." is spot on. In short: unconditional, absolute recommendation.
