My name is Stefano and I am a freelance viola player. After studying viola and composition in Italy, I moved to Rotterdam to complete my Master degree at Codarts, which I obtained in 2018. As a freelance musician, I devote most of my time to chamber music and orchestra playing, collaborating with orchestras such La Toscanini di Parma, Sinfonia Rotterdam, FOI Bruno Bartoletti and others. I had the luck to follow lessons and masterclasses by amazing renowned teachers (such as Julia Dinerstein, Alexander and Mikhail Zemtsov, members of the Rotterdam Phil, Maxim Rysanov, Simonide Braconi) realising how the teacher-student relationship is so important and fundamental for the all-round growth of the individual. They taught me that, beside being a form of Art and a job opportunity, Music is pure enjoyment for both mind and soul; its strength is the possibility music gives you to learn about yourself, to express your emotions, to connect with other people, and all in the most enjoyable way ever, which is MAKING MUSIC!
