I am a young student currently living in Vienna but originally from Madrid in Spain. Spanish is my native language and I have been speaking English for as long as I can remember. I also lived in England for two years which is why I also enjoy English culture as well as Spanish one.

Education

I am currently studying a business Degree at WU university, and I am on my third year of it. Three years ago I lived in England where I took my IB exams and before that I lived in Spain where I was in school for all the years before that.

I have had two years of previous experience with tutoring. Firstly I tutored a 16 year old girl who needed help with English, and the one who was much younger in primary school that also needed helo with English.

My name is Denise I’m a Mexican Spanish as Foreign Language tutor (ELE Español Lengua Extranjera as acronym) certified by "Escuela Internacional Cervantes" with a Bachelor in Spanish Literature by the University of Nuevo León Mexico (UANL).

I started teaching and tutoring Spanish at a very young age helping my colleagues from High School achieve better scores and later I formalize this activity while finishing my university studies.

I gave private tutoring for a long time during university.
As a student of human rights and then as a project worker

Currently, I’m a masters student at UW in Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft. I completed a degree in Romance Languages at Duke University (currently ranked 10th in the US and 25th in the world, depending on which ranking you adhere to). I recently graduated with my master's degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy with a specialisation in human rights. I am volunteering for social justice this year. I am fluent in French and English and I have experience in helping kids with their homework. I am great with children, we always become best friends very fast. ¡Hola! I am an experienced teacher who adapts to the needs of the student. In my lessons, we can work on both practical and functional Spanish to travel and communicate on a daily basis in a Spanish-speaking country, but also more academic Spanish to develop written expression or the skills necessary to pass the DELE exam.

In my lessons, I use teaching materials to work on grammar in a simple and inductive way, so that we can focus on the communicative aspect. I love games, creativity exercises, and role playing. In general, my students do not feel that my lessons are something forced, but that it is very natural and spontaneous. Learning a language can be fun!

Regarding my experience, I have more than four years of experience and I have an official Master's in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have worked in private academies, international bilingual schools and public institutes. So I have experience with children, adolescents and adults. In addition, I speak Spanish, Galician, French and English and I have also worked with students of various origins (French, Italian, Slovak, English ...) so I can know what are the difficult aspects given your native language.

Personally, I love nature, travelling, playing sports and connecting with my students. I have lived in three different countries: Wales, France and Slovakia.

German B1 is the preparation in German for the ÖSD and ÖIF B1 exam. There is a textbook included
12 lessons and 4-5 participants can take part in the course. The course can also be completed alone
and generally take place with me.
Course duration is usually 2.5 months. There is a course confirmation.

Courses from A1-C2 can be taken.

There are also language courses in French and English.

I've been teaching since 2017 and am currently specializing in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I've also been working at the Cervantes Institute in Vienna as a collaborating teacher since September 2023 and have had students of a wide age range. This experience has given me a great ability to adapt to the needs of each of my students.

I am also a DELE examiner for levels A1-A2/B1 for schoolchildren and B1-B2, so I am familiar with the certification tests.
