Want to learn how to code but not sure where to begin? You used AI but it's not working for you? No technical background? No problem. You've never written a line of code before or you've written a few aided or not by AI? You're in the right place. This course is designed for beginners.

You’ll learn the foundations of coding using Python, a simple but powerful programming language that’s perfect for newcomers. Lessons are practical, personal and paced according to your needs. We’ll write real code together from the first session, using tools that are free and beginner-friendly, and you will learn how to critically use AI to aid you in your learning and coding.

You’ll learn step-by-step in a hands-on supportive environment where we focus on writing real code from day one.

What you will learn:
- How to set up and use a coding environment (no installation needed).
- Core programming concepts: variables, data types, loops, conditionals, basic code structure, functions, simple error handling, user input, and more.
- How to read, write and debug (solve errors) simple Python code.
- A beginner’s mindset for solving problems like a programmer: problem-solving and breaking down tasks.
- How to build small programs and get creative with your code.
- How to use AI to code efficiently but critically.

This course is perfect for those with no prior programming knowledge. Targeted to teens or adults, but children and seniors are welcome too. Whether you're exploring a new skill, preparing for future studies or curious about how coding works, this class will give you a strong foundation and the confidence to continue.

About Me

I teach in a way that makes coding feel intuitive and personally relevant, whether that means relating it to your interests, your way of thinking or how you naturally approach problems. I’ve worked with complete beginners from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups and what I enjoy most is helping them discover that programming isn’t just a technical skill and that it can be a creative and empowering tool.

It’s normal to feel unsure at first but as soon as things start making sense, coding becomes a door to building real and meaningful projects. Whether you're curious about automation, data, design or something else, I’ll help you gain the skills and confidence to explore your ideas through code.

Outside of teaching, I’m always exploring new fields and perspectives, so it's very likely that we’ll find something in common and enjoy the learning process together.

Experience / Qualifications

I’ve been studying and working in the IT field for the past 15 years and have spent the last decade teaching programming to beginners whenever I could, from one-on-one to university-level courses.

Currently, I lead a team developing a core application for managing data of people we support in an international non-profit organization (iNGO). I also teach a seminar "Coding as a Tool" using Python and AI, at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Students come from interdisciplinary backgrounds and use coding in a wide variety of creative or practical projects.
