Whether you would like to focus on conversation, or you'd rather have some help learn with a language book, I am here to guide your learning process. I have experience with both structured as well as spontaneous students, so don't be afraid to express how you like to learn. I'll do my best to support you in a way that makes sense to you!

My name is Giulia, and I am a recent graduate from Utrecht University. In the past six years I have helped over 15 students - from beginners to advanced learners - improve their language skills. I offer conversation sessions for students of any level, as well as tutoring for anyone looking for support alongside the language book of your choice. When necessary, I will also provide you with additional learning materials tailored to your needs. My Dutch is not good enough to be my main working language, but I like to bring in Dutch grammar when it helps.

Whether you are looking for structured classes, or more spontaneous sessions, I would be happy to guide your and hopefully help you enjoy the process too!

Education

I recently completed a research MA in Gender Studies (cum laude) from Utrecht University (2024). I also hold a BA degree in Literary Studies (cum laude) from Utrecht University, (2021).

I have been giving private Italian classes for more than 6 years in the Netherlands. My students include former teachers as well as writers, who have praised my precision and ability to simplify complex grammatical rules through examples.

I am Michela and I come from Rome. I am a professional and qualified language teacher for secondary schools. I have been teaching languages since 2011 to all levels and backgrounds. I funded my own company for Language services' in 2018 in London and in 2021 in Utrecht (Giardino Italiano).

I will be happy to help you either learning from scratch or improving your skills! I am very good at differentiating tasks, and I always work tailoring my lesson on students' level and needs in order to help students to improve. Over the years I have gained experience in teaching students with all types of abilities. I have also experience in working with students with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, AHDH, and autism.

I offer different types of courses (standard courses/ grammar through games/ conversation through topics/ conversation through games, music, films, cooking), using different tools and techniques, always trying to make my lessons fun, engaging, and well-structured. Since practice makes perfect, every lesson you will be given homework as independent learning is an extremely important part of the language learning process.

I am very passionate about learning languages and teaching them is just part of my inner-nature. I am a language learner like you, so I know all the struggles you might encounter in your learning journey. I have developed many techniques over the years to overcome difficulties so let me help you!
Moreover, I keep studying and researching psychology-pedagogy and teaching techniques in order to keep my skills up- to -date and to experiment with always new ways to help my students learning to the best of their abilities.

Spanish and English teaching or tutoring for any level. Both are in the top spoken languages in the world and have become essential for good communication and blurring cultural boundaries.

Spanish is my official native language but I went to an American school during my entire education which means I speak both fluently. My goal is to keep students motivated while learning or improving their use of a new language.

You can learn the basics of Spanish and English. The class can also be focused on specific subjects depending on the students level: whether they need more practice in speech or grammar; or their desire to learn something specific. I can help with everything from the alphabet to being able to write an essay or taking an exam.

I tailor my tutoring and classes to the needs of each student. As a Native French speaker and student in Linguistics I use different approaches and methods to make learning French enjoyable and efficient.
