About Me

I am a certified bilingual language teacher with over 5 years of experience in teaching Spanish and English, and I’m passionate about helping others gain confidence in their conversational skills. My lessons are personalized and interactive, focusing on vocabulary, culture, and grammar, while creating an enjoyable learning environment.

I am happily married to my husband, and we have a lovely daughter, whom we are raising bilingually in Spanish and Dutch. We’re teaching her the best of both cultures. Currently, I’m studying Dutch to improve my level to B2. As a language learner myself, I understand the excitement and anxiety of learning a new language. It can be intimidating, but the goal is always the same: to communicate with confidence.

I’m a social person who loves connecting with students, making learning fun, and sharing a good laugh. Outside of teaching, I enjoy photography and listening to music. I believe in second opportunities and take pride in supporting others to achieve their goals at their own pace.

If u are looking for :

- Native teacher: You need to choose carefully your Spanish teacher, because even In Spain we have a lot of differents accents. I’m from Madrid so mine neutral accent. Imagine learn Spanish and later discover that your accent is not good!!
- Cheap price: my lessons are cheap, because I’m finding a lot of difficulties learning Dutch, but some people is helping me too much! and if you really want to learn Spanish, my motivation is not make lot of money with you.
- Enjoy while you are learning . If you have some fun, if we can speak about something interested for both of us, we enjoy with the lessons and you will learn faster.

I can go to your place, and I have rotative schedules in my job, so I can adapt to all needs. Also you can come to my home too.

I add the category investing, because if u are interested on this topic, we can adapt the lesson on this direction (I have an investment account, and I really enjoy speaking about it). And I also add photography, I worked on this more than 6 years, and I have a Dron and I enjoy too much flying and filming places with it.

My name is Cathrine. I have completed my IB diploma at Birkerød Gymnasium. I am currently pursuing my degree in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University in the Netherlands.

I am originally from Malaysia but I have been living in Denmark for the past 5 years. However, English is my first language.

I am fluent in speaking, reading, and writing the language. Therefore, during the lesson, I will incorporate tasks and activities involving these 3 aspects. We will also go through basic grammar rules that will be useful for both writing and daily conversations.

I will provide printed worksheets and assignments (included in the fees of the lesson) to be done during the lesson and also as homework. Workbooks may be provided at an additional cost which you can work with on your own at home after the lesson. This is of course highly recommended for your own benefit as practice makes perfect.

In the first meeting, we will discuss further on the preference of workload and what you would like to learn.
