As a master's student in computer science at EPFL and a student assistant for several years, I am used to explaining complex concepts to people with very different backgrounds. I love logic, well-constructed reasoning, and those moments when everything finally “clicks.” My approach is simple: understand how you think, then adapt the explanation, not the other way around.

I offer math and programming lessons, adapted to all levels, in French or English.

In math, I can help from the most basic level up to the end of high school: algebra, analysis, functions, derivatives, integrals, probabilities, mathematical logic, or simply consolidating the basics. The goal is not to memorize formulas, but to understand the reasoning behind them (yes, they make sense, I promise :) ).

In programming, I support students and beginners as well as more advanced learners in Python, Java, Scala, C/C++, and Bash. Whether you want to learn to program from scratch, understand a course, write cleaner code, or pass an exam, I adapt to your goals.

My classes are designed to be interactive: we ask questions, we make mistakes, and we progress! I want you to leave having learned something new.

About Me

My name is Patrick, I am 22 years old, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science at EPFL, after having successfully completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science there. I am fluent in French and English.

Being passionate about mathematics, computer science, and generally anything related to logic, I like to understand how things work. These are subjects that most people dislike, but for a single reason: they are often poorly taught, because everyone has a different way of learning, and that's where I can help.

I have been a student assistant at EPFL for three years now, where I help Bachelor's students demystify the complex concepts they are taught.

My goal: to transform “I don't understand” into “Ah, but actually, it makes sense!”

Understand maths for primary students.

Third-year physics student at EPFL Lausanne.

The courses are aimed in particular at university students, but also at secondary school students. For those attending EPFL, I can give classes in person. Otherwise, I am also available for online courses. The topics and course delivery are agreed with the students according to their specific needs. They can include both theoretical explanations and the carrying out of practical exercises.

From my own experience, I have found that everyone can understand the most complex concepts, you just need to adopt the right approach and teaching method, which varies from person to person. As it is not always possible to make this important distinction in general courses, my intention is to provide those who need it with help in catching up with the program by filling in gaps and/or doubts.
