My personalized teaching method is to study the profile and the difficulties of each student, in order to be able to offer him a learning method that corresponds to him. I offer individualized classes, with different methods depending on the objective of each student. Learning an instrument is not only a skill, but a lifetime enjoyment. The need to express emotions or let loose some inner tension, an instrument is the perfect tool. Music sings the sound of the soul, and the cello is the perfect instrument. Having played the cello for 17 years, i can say that music is a must for a happy life. It is the universal language. Dont be afraid to take that first step. I am versatile - I have performed a large repertoire of diverse cello music. I collaborate in chamber ensembles, in orchestras, also have been playing in orchestra in Germany, Lithuania, Czech Republic, in Malta, In Poland, I have also been playing solo with orchestra. I accepted an invitation to become a cello teacher and it was helpful as I became more critical of myself and I was looking for new techniques and methods. I have been composing since the age of 8, I write compositions in the chamber music genre, including for cello solo, cello and piano, piano and oboe and string quartet. Music is my language and my way to express myself, I feel every note deep in my heart and it is reflected in the timbre of the cello.

My teaching method is carefully tailored to the specific needs of each student, regardless of the subject we are working on (music theory, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.). The pace of learning is always set by the student, ensuring that each lesson aligns realistically with their goals and interests. Whether you're looking for a more flexible, amateur approach — open to personal interests — or a more structured plan aimed at exams, auditions, or academic improvement, I design a personalized learning path for each case. My approach is rooted in a highly practical vision of learning, inspired by the educational model in which I was trained during my master’s degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). I view teaching as a dynamic process, where deep understanding takes precedence over rote memorization.

I have a lot of experience teaching cello and for me, the most important thing in my lessons is learn well and enjoy. Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students. I have a lot of pop and actual music cello pieces for all levels. In addition, I'm familiar with methods like ABRSM, Suzuki, Feuillard, Duport, Popper and Piatti.

What is important to me in class? Students and teachers should meet at eye level. It's important to me to create an atmosphere in which both feel comfortable and no one feels forced to do anything. Where do I come from musically? It has always been important to me to exploit all the possibilities that my instrument can offer. To be honest, I'm not finished yet, the cello has so many facets to discover! I've tried many different styles. I am currently studying a master's degree in contemporary music at the Basel University of Music. I completed my bachelor's degree in education in Freiburg. This gives me a good basis for teaching the instrument in a playful way and for eliciting creativity from the students. Can you also find me on stage? Yes, mostly with my indie-pop band. We write our own songs, and I'm usually responsible for a good bassline :) But also with Percaso String Quartet, with whom we only play string quartet works by women. Or in Ensemble IPSO, a music theater project in which we try to blend the boundaries between music, theater and dance. And always with solo performances at vernissages. Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me. Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on. Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor. Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing. No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. I provide private cello lessons for adult students at all levels in the Berlin, Germany area. I teach primarily in English or German but can also teach in French, some basic Spanish and Portuguese. I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in cello performance as well as over 15 years of teaching experience. I also offer regular group classes for adults, deep diving into specific topics of cello technique or different repertoire.

Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. Recently he graduated master degree in Brussels Conservatorium studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played many of his own pieces in concerts. Asako will give the cello lessons. She has master degree, cello performance and chamber music, also has an academic university diploma for Musicology. She studied in Japan, Hungary (Franz Liszt Academy), Norway (Norway Academy of Music), and Netherlands (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatoire).She can teach in Japanese, English and on a basic level in Hungarian and French. Asako can teach the cello for all levels and ages. Especially She is enthusiastic about teaching.

Hello, my name is Anna, and I’ve been playing the cello for 22 years. I have a masters degree both in performative arts and teaching cello from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. I have acquired a wide range of tools to inspire my pupils individually in their step-by-step development. I teach learners of all ages and levels, my students are 5-60 years old, from beginner to advanced. When I was 15, my cello teacher asked me to teach her younger pupils. I was enthusiastic of teaching, and I still have the same enthusiasm, but much more knowledge and experience. Playing the cello makes you beautiful both inside and outside! While playing the cello, I pay attention to the music, my technique, my body and my emotions. I focus on the same aspects while teaching, so we will improve your musical and technical abilities, as well as your awareness of your own body and emotions. Hi my name is Osian and I’m a cellist from South Wales. I’ve taught children of many ages and standards and I really feel privileged to be a part of someone’s musical and personal development. Music lessons can be a way of reaching the concert platform or it could be a way of expressing yourself and being creative, wether it’s a career path or not. I grew up playing and singing where my first priority was to fall in love with music and learn to perform it to the best standard that I could do and that’s what I’d like to encourage my students to aim for too. I’m a BMus Hons Scholar from The Royal Academy of Music and I’m not studying at a masters lever at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
