I am a graduate university student who, in addition to her own company, has the time and energy to teach children (in both primary and secondary school) and adults in Geography. I have always been interested in geography and I finished the course with a 9. I would like to convey my enthusiasm to children, young people and possibly adults who do not experience the profession as much. I am a social girl and I get on well with people and the difficulties they may experience (such as disappointment or uncertainty due to less good results) due to the fact that certain subjects / disciplines are not going well. I want to teach online in a positive, fun and interactive way so that they actually master the profession while having fun.

Ik geef les in verschillende vakken op verschillende niveaus voor middelbare scholieren. Mijn doel is om het voor scholieren makkelijker te maken om de lesstof te begrijpen en ze te motiveren om het beste uit zichzelf te halen.

Als leerling kan je zelf aangeven waar je uitleg over wilt hebben. Hoe eerder je dit aangeeft hoe beter ik een les kan voorbereiden en dus ook hoe meer jij aan de les gaat hebben.

Een les bestaat uit bespreken van het opgegeven huiswerk.
Stof herhalen voor zo ver dat nodig is.
Een ander onderwerp bespreken.
Samen oefeningen maken.
Nieuw huiswerk opgeven.

Ik ben Sofia en geef al heel veel jaren met plezier bijles en huiswerkbegeleiding aan leerlingen van verschillende middelbare niveaus (ook online!). Heeft u(w kind) structurele hulp nodig, hulp met de proefwerkweek, zijn er examens niet gehaald of moet er in de zomervakantie wat worden bijgespijkerd? Wellicht kan ik helpen! About me
My name is Tom and I obtained my master's degree in Finance & Investments from Erasmus University. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm and knowledge about topics such as business economics, economics, finance and accounting with everyone I mentor! During and after my studies I worked at an investor, investment bank and scientific research institute, and I am currently setting up my own company. I have been tutoring regularly since 2020; both to high school students and to adults pursuing a master's degree.

I'm a former economics teacher with a first-degree teaching qualification who, since 2021, has dedicated myself entirely to tutoring various subjects. I did this because it allows me to do what I love most: explaining material, building student confidence, and working together to improve grades. Since I'm a former economics teacher, I can perfectly help you if you're struggling with this subject. I can also help you with business economics, as my Bachelor's in International Business and Master's in Finance were packed with business economics courses. I always enjoy completing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

The structure of the tutoring is always determined in consultation, but generally, I'm a big fan of starting on assignments as soon as possible. Why? Moreover, you can then immediately apply the explanations you do need to an assignment. This way, the material sticks much better.

By the way, if you prefer tutoring at home, but I live too far away, consider trying online tutoring. I'm very experienced in that. I always give online tutoring via Google Meet, using a digital whiteboard where I can draw, color, paste, and type. This way, I can explain/demonstrate everything perfectly. I then share everything I've written on the whiteboard with you via WhatsApp so you can review all the explanations and solutions at your leisure after the lesson. Super convenient!

Hi,

Ik heb ruime ervaring met het geven van bijles en het begeleiden van leerlingen bij verschillende organisaties. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik gewerkt met leerlingen van uiteenlopende niveaus, waarbij ik heb gemerkt dat ik veel energie haal uit het uitleggen van lesstof en het vergroten van zelfvertrouwen bij leerlingen.

Mijn interesse en passie liggen vooral bij de vakken geschiedenis, aardrijkskunde en maatschappijleer/burgerschap. Ik vind het belangrijk om deze vakken niet alleen inhoudelijk duidelijk uit te leggen, maar ook te laten zien hoe ze aansluiten bij de actualiteit en de belevingswereld van leerlingen. Daarbij besteed ik veel aandacht aan structuur, overzicht en het aanleren van effectieve leerstrategieën.

Op dit moment volg ik de master Bestuurskunde aan de Universiteit Leiden. Deze opleiding sluit goed aan bij mijn interesse in politiek, bestuur en maatschappelijke vraagstukken en versterkt mijn vakinhoudelijke kennis, die ik ook inzet tijdens mijn bijlessen.

Mijn manier van begeleiden is rustig, geduldig en persoonlijk. Ik neem de tijd om te achterhalen waar een leerling tegenaan loopt en pas mijn uitleg daarop aan. Het doel is niet alleen betere resultaten, maar ook meer zelfvertrouwen en motivatie.

In primary and secondary school, I had many friends who struggled with specific subjects, which I didn't. It also happened the other way around. It was great to be able to help each other with this. When that wasn't possible, we received tutoring from a great coach, and this helped us all pass our exams.
