Explore yourself by improvising or composing (no instrument requirement)
Improvising is a good way to find peace in yourself, at the same time a great way to let out your emotions. There is no form in music. In that way, there is no need if you know how to play an instrument or not. You just have to know how to make sound, for example singing, clapping, or tapping on a bow. We will explore sound together, and let it become your language.
Composition in another way is very much connected to improvisation. Music theory is provided if you need it. We can either compose on the music sheet or on the software. We will find out exactly what you need help with!

About Me
Hei! I am Wei from Taiwan, currently working as a pianist, cellist, film composer, and tutor in Oslo. Well, education has been a huge passion of mine, even though I very much enjoy performing on stage, it still excites me. I've started tutoring since I was 19, so I guess that it has been 8 years since then. The age of my students is from 5 to 70 years old. So never feel that you are too young or old to learn an instrument.Music has taught me to handle pressure, facing my own emotions, and finding peace in myself. Therefore, there is a part of me eager to share my experience and knowledge with people.
I love children, and I will see myself as a patient, easy-going and interesting person. My goal is to create a safe, relaxing place for you to learn and explore.

Weiting is an excellent teacher. I enjoyed my first class with her teaching. She is very creative and patient, always gives me encouragement. I'm looking forward to our next class.
I specialize in tutoring cello for people who are either interested in music or the instruments. I also provide training for people who prepare for exams to enter music schools.
For beginners:
We will listen to various types of music, and I will provide various methods for you to find the most natural way to get familiar with cello. By knowing what you want to hear, your body will do exactly what you want it to be. And that's our goal.
For intermediate:
We will expand your repertoire. The lesson will be customized by your needs, we will find the best way for you to learn more! If you have problems playing, we will solve it together too!
For advanced students:
We will find the most efficient and natural way for you to practice. And assign a periodic plan which fits you well and make sure that we will achieve your goal. I will also help you to see the music from different perspectives.

CLASSICAL, JAZZ/ MODERN PIANO AND RHYTHM COMPLEXITYThe older I get, the more I love. Especially during these times of immense ugliness and hate, wars and conflict, music- that's always been all about love - is the home I keep returning to. To me, mentoring someone is all about sharing the love for the instrument, thirst about the material, desire to explore new musical paths and respect for whatever happens whilst playing.
Not only we will explore technical paths and understand rhythm under a totally different light but also communicate through improvisation and modal principles. My goal is for you to love the instrument a bit more, music a bit more and as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said "Perhaps love is the process of my leading you gently back to yourself".
So let's explore together the painstakingly beautiful process of music through the inner child.

✅COACHING / MANAGEMENT CONSULTING / COMMUNICATION WITHIN MARITAL / COUPLE & FAMILY RELATIONSIn our imagination, nourished by our education and our conditioning, we all believed one day that once married, having founded our family, we will realize our dream.
Before taking the leap, we all idealize this life, and the stronger our hope, the stronger the awakening to the reality of life would probably be.
Indeed, family life is another experience, a challenge and a process during which we learn a lot about ourselves, about the other and about the relationship.
By choosing the right mediator, family and married life can therefore be a great opportunity to grow (sometimes in pain, in joy).
Among the possible accompaniments, some examples:
- The basics of a solid and fulfilled married or family life
- How to resolve disagreements
- The secrets of a balanced and balancing child education
- Learn to express emotions
- Manage families and in-laws
- How to take your place within the couple
- Define the respective roles of each
Among the techniques used:
- Non-violent communication tools
- The “helping relationship” which aims to support people in crisis or conflict situations and help them resolve dysfunctions (emotional, relational difficulties, repetition of scenarios, lack of self-confidence, etc.) . It also leads to better self-knowledge and guides the person to discover their own solutions.
The practitioner in helping relationship through his attentive and neutral listening, his training, his personality, his presence, his availability will allow the consultant to progress towards a better knowledge of his psychological mechanisms, respecting his blockages, his rhythm and his ability to hear.
The therapist takes into account the subject as a whole: physical, psychological and social.
Allow the consultant to access autonomy so that he can, when he feels ready, walk alone, in all inner serenity.
- Coaching that allows you to act and take responsibility, which is the basis of effective and lasting change. Work on the management of emotions and relationships, confidence and self-esteem, self-affirmation is at the center of individual support, which allows you to live more fulfilled and authentic relationships.
- Love coaching, which is personalized support based on understanding the mechanisms of love and focusing on putting an individual in this disposition of openness and acceptance of the other and their difference (which prepares to receive love) and to transfer keys of understanding to gain emotional maturity.
It allows you to obtain concrete and measurable results in your love life.
Through coaching, the consultant becomes aware of his resources, optimizes his potential and transforms his life.
- Brief marital and family therapy. She is interested in how the problems manifest themselves in the present but the personal history of each is also approached. This insight helps to better understand the events experienced and to make connections between the past and what is at stake in the current difficulties. We introduce changes in behavior to open up perspectives, mainly relational.
- Sophrology. Sophrology is a gentle method that promotes relaxation of the body and mind where you relearn how to listen to your feelings using controlled breathing exercises, muscle relaxation and mental suggestions. It allows you to develop your potential, regain self-confidence, manage your emotions and achieve your goals. It will be, at times, interesting to use this technique to manage to unblock the mind that is blocking and to give the body more amplitude to welcome what presents itself.

John
Professional jazz musician teaching jazz, blues, funk, R&B, pop, rock, latin and classical piano.I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.
My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.
Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.
A bit about me:
Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.

Piano Lessons (Classical Music and Non classical), Music Theory, Harmony, Musical Arrangement, CompositionAt my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. Openness, joy, dedication, creativity and passion for music are some of the things that you will find in the international environment of my studio. I care about who my students are and what they have to say to the world, and I will help them to develop it from the very first lesson.
In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
Hope you can join and if so, I’ll be very happy to teach you!
