As a piano technique researcher currently pursuing a PhD in this field, I can address any physical issues you may have relating to your piano technique during lessons. Yes, I can help you to reconnect with your instrument through my lessons. You will learn to avoid Russian piano technique approaches and avoid sacrificing your body in order to play music. You will also be able to use this decentralized approach not only when playing classical or jazz music, but in any other genre.

I'm a professional jazz pianist, composer and music educator. I absolutely love teaching jazz and classical music to students of all ages, and I'm passionate about making music knowledge accessible to everyone. I'm a curious soul, always exploring the world of micro-rhythm, philosophy of music and piano technique. And here's a little secret: you can play the piano without feeling any pain! I'm happy to teach complete beginners, students who are already ahead of the game and professionals.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Piano from the Conservatory Liceu in Barcelona, Spain, and a Master's degree in Jazz from the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, Germany. Additionally, I was an Erasmus student at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland.

In Oud, we will focus on:

Musical Maqams: Deepen your understanding of Arabic Maqams and how to apply them to playing. Musical Notes: Learn to read and perform notes on the oud with skill. Pick Exercises: Improve playing techniques using a pick to develop movement between the strings. Technique Exercises: Build playing skills through various exercises to improve speed and accuracy.
