My philosophy centres on making music relevant to my students. Therefore, i'm open to teaching a wide variety of musical genres ranging from the Classics to pop to modern eg. movies and popular animation soundtracks (Studio Ghibli) etc. With my experience, i can tailor teaching syllabus that caters to my students' motivation and ability. This way, they can enjoy and appreciate music through piano, and also improve their skill set for note reading, score deciphering and deepening their knowledge base of the style that they relate to

My name is Sam and i'm a piano teacher from Singapore. My wife is french and our family just relocated back to the south of France this summer
I have been teaching piano for the last 25 years, giving private lessons to students of all levels and ages ranging from 5 to 64 years old. And my students were mostly expatriates from mainly the French (of course!) and the American communities in Singapore
As for my teaching style, i would describe it as pragmatic and open. My philosophy centres on making music relevant to my students. Therefore, i'm open to teaching a wide variety of musical genres ranging from the Classics to pop to modern eg. movies and popular animation soundtracks (Studio Ghibli) etc. With my experience, i can tailor teaching syllabus that caters to my student's motivation and ability. Simply put, my ultimate goal is to help my students enjoy and appreciate music through piano, and also to improve their skill set for note reading, score deciphering and deepening their knowledge base of the musical genre that they relate to
