I am a Manchester based actress and I have been working professionally in the Musical Theatre industry for 10 years after graduating from Laine Theatre Arts in 2015. I have been lucky enough to travel the world as a Lead Vocalist and perform in several plays, pantomimes, musicals and commercials.

I am super passionate about teaching others and getting the absolute best out of them. I truly believe encouragement and confidence is the key to success! I have taught Musical Theatre, Singing and Dance for over 15 years and specialise in acting through song. I love bringing my acting training in to songs and really thinking about the words we are singing and what we are trying to achieve through this, what is the purpose of the song etc - this is so important and can be transformational! I can also help with technique, warm ups and cool downs, vocal health and audition prep in either Pop or Musical Theatre. Also because I am still currently working in the industry I have first hand knowledge in what is happening at the moment and how things work.

About Me

I work professionally in the Musical Theatre/Acting Industry and have also taught Musical Theatre, Singing, Acting and Dance for over 15 years. I am a very encouraging teacher as I believe this is how you get the absolute best out of your students. I am super passionate about acting through song. If someone sings a song pitch perfect but there is nothing behind the eyes I don't think its half as impressive as someone who really tells you a story and can move you with what they are saying in the song.

Three of my favourite examples of people who aren't the most incredible singers but gave the performance of a lifetime through their acting: Anne Hathaway - 'I dreamed a dream' in the Les Miserables film, Amy Lennox 'Cabaret' at the Oliviers and Judi Dench 'Send In The Clowns.' These are all an absolute masterclass in acting through song and this is the sort of thing we will be working on.

Of course, we need to sound nice too so I will also be working on different types of technique that will suit your vocal type the most and how to get the best out of your voice.
