I specialise in teaching employability skills to students, graduates and adults and the class is for people wanting to learn soft skills to apply for jobs and for the workplace. Employability skills is good to have, and employers find these attractive in their employees. The focus is to learn and master the skills needed for work and for the workplace.

You’ll learn steps, techniques and strategies to enable you apply for jobs and to get a job. (This will include learning what makes and how to write good supporting statements, CVs and cover letters). Don’t worry if you are new to this subject, the lessons/classes are well tailored for every ability.

My name is Edith. I am an experienced coach and tutor in the field of employment and careers. I am passionate about empowering and helping people achieve their goals through learning and I am motivated to see people reach their full potential and optimize their opportunities when it comes to looking for work and staying in work.

I am from the UK, and I live in London. With a background in coaching, mentoring, and teaching, I help people find their way through acquiring the knowledge and skills to help them achieve their employment goals hence I teach employability skills, coach and mentor. I have been in this field for 4 years and I have taught employability skills along side being a coach and mentor. In addition, I have a PgCert in Coaching and a teaching qualification in Education and Training.

My teaching experience spans across age groups. I have taught and still teach students, graduates and adults.

For approach, I use a person-centred approach when teaching and including solution-focused approach when coaching. Your needs and style of learning are considered when I teach as you can be rest assured that if a particular area is highlighted as an area you want to focus on, then the teaching will reflect this. With a person-centred, solution-focused approach, I believe working together collaboratively, people can find and come up with answers and solutions. My teaching can be adapted, and tailor made. Moreover, I do encourage and promote an interactive and engaging learning environment, so, please feel free to ask questions and participate fully in the sessions.

I am educated to and have a post-graduate level of education. My teaching, coaching, and mentoring experience covers general teaching/coaching as well as specialist teaching/coaching. I teach/coach and have taught/coached students of varying abilities ranging from general needs students to students with special abilities and/or disabilities. My learners have included and include mainstream students and SEND students. Furthermore, I currently work as a Sessional Lecturer teaching Employability Skills at a Further Education College.
