Classes are in English or Spanish.

I offer tutoring in chemistry, physics and mathematics to highschool students. As a person used to studying, doing exercises and not being the best in my class, I know that hard work is the path to do well in class. I firmly believe anyone can pass any exam, no matter how hard it is the course. With the appropriate attitude and mindset, no exercise is too complicated. Its just a matter of patience and perseverance.
I am patient and I will taggle the students most challenging topics, as well as being flexible to their proposals.

If you are interested, please send me a message and I will explain more details.

Good luck with your studies!!!
Extra informatie
I need to have in advance your courses materials, tests, etc... so that I can prepare the classes. In that way, the time spend teaching will be much more efficient and fair.
Also, I will need to know your struggles and studying methods, so that I can personalize the class.
Thanks in advance!

Over
I have a bachelor in chemistry, and have done multiple projects in several chemistry fields, as well as a considerable amount of time working in chemical laboratories, which have given me a wide variety of knoledge and transversal skills useful to teaching.

Throught all my studies, I have been helping now and then a lot of my friends with their chemistry courses and its an experience I have enjoyed greatly. Last semester, a friend of mine was really stressed about an Organic Synthesis exam. She was struggling with some exercises as they seemed very difficult. I sat down with her and after 3h, I proved her that she was more than capable to do well in the exam. She ended up passing with a great mark, and that really filled me with satisfaction. She already had the knowledge from her hard work, but sometimes exams are not just about memorizing, and we can mess up easily even when having the knowledge but not understanding the concepts. I truly believe that absolutely anyone can pass an exam, as long as there is hard work when preparing it. And that is my motivation to tutor students. Due to the demanding education I received and the experience I gained from it, I can help students prepare their exams, both in knowledge and other skills as important.

I am competent, patient, polite, hard worker and have a passion for teaching.

- What do the lessons entail?
The tutoring focuses on mathematics in secondary education. I help students understand both the theory and its practical application in exercises. If necessary, I provide additional study materials, such as diagrams, summaries, or resources, to clarify the material.

- My approach
I would appreciate receiving an overview of the study material, tests, or assignments in advance that present difficulties. This allows me to properly prepare the lessons and focus on the student's specific needs. This also allows me to better assess the level.

During tutoring, I try to explain the material in a simple and understandable way, often from a different perspective than in the classroom. My goal is for the student to truly understand the material and gain more confidence. Seeing progress and achieving results together gives me great satisfaction.

- Why do I tutor?
Mathematics has always been a great passion of mine. Although my current studies no longer revolve around it, I still enjoy pursuing it. Tutoring is therefore an ideal combination of hobby and extra income for me. Naturally, I always work in a professional and structured manner.

- Experience
Since 2018, I've been tutoring students of various ages, both in primary and secondary education. I also regularly help fellow students with their learning material, which is always a positive experience.

- Who am I?
My name is Arina, I'm 26 years old and I study law. I live and study in Leuven, where I also live in student housing.

I'm an approachable, enthusiastic, and open person. This helps me quickly build trust, so students feel comfortable and confident asking questions. They know they can contact me outside of tutoring sessions if they get stuck on an exercise, and they often continue to do so afterward.

During my own high school years, I struggled with math in my first and second grades. Although I found the subject interesting, I struggled to fully grasp the material because the explanations didn't align with my learning style.

When I started tutoring (at my parents' insistence), my perspective on mathematics completely changed. My interest grew so strongly that I later pursued a degree in economics and mathematics. My love for mathematics has remained ever since.

Because math wasn't a part of my further studies, I decided to tutor myself. This way, I can share my enthusiasm and help students develop the confidence I once had to build.

Mathematics and Physics tutoring for secondary and primary education (also at home). Master Commercial Engineer KUL with a Science-Mathematics-8 and Civil Engineering background.

ABOUT THIS LESSON:
I offer tutoring in Python programming and mathematics for university and college students. I also support secondary school and primary school students in all scientific subjects.

I start by (if available) using your old tests to determine together with you (and possibly your parents) what specific difficulties you have. In addition, we will have a short conversation in which you can explain to me which issues you have experienced as the most difficult and would like to focus more on.

My focus is on ensuring that the student is able to find the solution independently, step by step, and I help where necessary by providing mini-tips to get to the next step together. This makes my method much more personalized than standard classroom teaching. When I notice that a student has difficulty independently coming up with the correct editing steps, I create a concise step-by-step plan tailored to that specific subject so that the student begins to see more structure in the learning material. At the same time, I ensure that the underlying theory is thoroughly understood by linking it to self-invented exercises and practical examples from the student's personal environment, which makes learning easier and more lasting.

ABOUT NICK:
I am a 22-year-old master's student in Commercial Engineering at KU Leuven. I started tutoring my sister, nephews, nieces and friends and I get a lot of satisfaction from improving and helping others when they come to me for help.

Because I have been tutoring consistently for 4 years, I have the right resources to present learning material in an understandable way and to strengthen the motivation, concentration and independent study of my students. In addition, I have a lot of experience with children and didactic teaching techniques from my tennis initiator diploma. Ranging from first to sixth secondary school, from 2 hours to 6 hours of mathematics per week and everything in between, I have guided students of all directions and levels, with a successful outcome every time.

I don't give up until I'm sure a student understands the material well enough and I see them making progress. By always appearing enthusiastic, I ensure that together we do not let the drudgery of difficult subjects get any further than the school desks.

I am flexible in making appointments and am open to every student. This can be done at a fixed time every week or lesson by lesson. I provide tutoring at your home (I can travel by car), at my home (Kampenhout), in my student room (Leuven) or online.

If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can discuss the practicalities in more depth. Together we can both make a schedule and work lesson by lesson to achieve your personal academic goals or those of your child.
