Mathematics and statistics at secondary/university level

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
    Hey!

    WHO AM I?
    - Helped countless students since 2020 to increase their level in science and mathematics.
    - Graduated as 3rd best student in bioengineering at KU Leuven, specializing in nanotechnology.
    - Helping people is my passion! (animator for people with disabilities, monitor in surfing & windsurfing and I have a past as a scout leader).

    WAY OF TEACHING
I am an enthusiastic, patient and empathetic teacher. In addition to teaching, I hope to pass on my passion for science & math to you/your children ;)
My lessons are very interactive. The student is often challenged with questions that make him/her think about the theory and exercises. This way, he/she will thoroughly understand the teaching material.

As for the lesson itself, it is adapted according to the needs of the student. Here is a typical timeline:
    1. STEP 1: I discuss with the student the goal he/she wants to achieve (preparation for an exam, etc.), the difficulties he/she is experiencing, and the course material of the lesson.
    2. STEP 2: Classes take place.
    3. STEP 3: I will give you/the student updates on progress.

    MY OFFER
I tutor at secondary level in:
    - Mathematics: Analysis, algebra, control theory, etc.
    - Statistics
    - Chemistry: Organic, inorganic, analytical, etc.
    - Physics: Statics & dynamics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, fluids, etc.

    LOCATION AND LANGUAGE
The lessons take place online, in Dutch, French or English.

Don't hesitate to contact me for more info :)

    About Me

    Hi there!

I am an enthusiastic, patient and empathetic individual. Teaching for me is an activity I truly love! I have a passion for science & math and will likely pass this on to you/your children ;)

Besides teaching, I am currently a top athlete in athletics, training for the Paris 2024 Olympics. If you need some running advice, I can give it to you ;)

Finally, helping people has always been my passion. Before teaching, I was an animator for people with disabilities, monitor in surfing & windsurfing and I have a past as a scout leader.

    Education

I am currently a second master's student in bioengineering at KU Leuven (Belgium), specializing in nanotechnology. These studies focus on sciences such as mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology. I intend to graduate with a summa cum laude, which shows that I thoroughly understand the theory that I will be teaching to you/your children.

After these studies, I am looking to pursue an additional master's degree in Machine Learning.

    Experience / Qualifications

I have been teaching for some time, including on platforms other than Apprentus. However, I am relatively new to Apprentus. So far, all the students have been very satisfied with my lessons. Most of them tell me that they "understand the theory much faster with me", which I find very rewarding.

The lessons I have taught so far range from:
    - Various topics in math, physics, chemistry and biology

    At all levels, ranging from;
    - College (secondary) level to university level

For all kinds of purposes, such as:
    - Admission exam for medical studies
    - Exams to retake
    - Helping not to fall behind during the academic year
    - Etc.

STEP 2: The classes take place. I myself have always been a very structured learner, which makes my teaching method both structured and comprehensive for the student. Also, my classes are different from traditional teaching in that I ask the student a lot of questions to get them to think about and understand the theory/exercises thoroughly. 3. STEP 3: If requested by the student and/or parents, they will receive progress updates. MY OFFER I provide tutoring at the secondary/university level in: - Mathematics: Analysis, algebra, control theory, etc. - Statistics - Chemistry: Organic, inorganic, analytical, etc. - Biology: Cell biology, ecology, animal and plant science, nano bio (DNA), etc. - Physics: Statics & dynamics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, fluida, etc. LOCATION AND LANGUAGE Classes can take place remotely or in person, in Dutch, French, or English. Let’s Turn Maths Into Your Favorite Subject, play with maths
my method of teaching focus foremost on clearing fundamentals to the core, not just how ? but why this and why not that? .... after understanding fundamentals you are ready to learn the way of problem solving , now this is the stage of rigour practice , as that's what yield perfection . i have got a lot experience with maths , as a student who made it to maths olympiad and got jee 98.7 %ile and then as a corporate employee who used to solve maths problems as a hobby in freetime to open brain in new dimensions . what i believe is if a person really understand maths in simplest terms without any rush ,as naturally as possible , maths become the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to him/her ... it not just help in academics but in designing most efficient brain that can thing out of the box .... maths is a way to become more and more genius...

A little math and test prep
I'm a mathematics teacher currently studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Didactics. I enjoy doing mathematics and I love thinking and researching new methods so you can do mathematics too. Did you know that every piece of mathematical knowledge arose from a problem in society at the time? If they could understand it, you can too!

Pre-Calculus and Calculus (AP/SAT/ ACT/IB) - Highly Experienced Math Tutor
Here’s a class intro for you as a tutor offering a combined pre-calculus and calculus course, blending the two subjects seamlessly while maintaining your established style: “Graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the prestigious University College London (UCL), I bring a robust mathematical foundation and practical expertise to my tutoring. I have been tutoring mathematics professionally for 8 years, both online and in person, with 90% of my past students achieving A and A* grades in their subjects. As your pre-calculus and calculus tutor, I will design lessons to meet your exact needs, bridging the gap between these critical subjects. In pre-calculus, we’ll cover functions (linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic), trigonometry (identities, equations, applications), systems of equations, conic sections, and sequences, preparing you for the leap into calculus. In calculus, we’ll dive into limits and continuity, derivatives (with applications like optimization), integrals (area, volume, and the Fundamental Theorem), and series. These topics build a powerful toolkit for advanced math and real-world problem-solving, and I’ll guide you through them with clarity. My approach emphasizes intuitive understanding—showing you how concepts connect—so you can tackle exams with ease. We’ll use past papers and practice problems tailored to your goals, whether for school tests, AP Precalculus, AP Calculus (AB/BC), IB HL, A-Level, or other assessments. My goal is to help you master pre-calculus and calculus, paving the way for academic excellence and future success in STEM fields or beyond.

It doesn't matter whether you are a math student or from a different major, whether you are from an applied background or struggle with pure maths - the lessons will only cover what you need. Mathematics has a lot to do with practice and getting familiar with the way of thinking logically. With my help and guidance, I am sure you will become confident in solving problems and understanding mathematical concepts. The lessons will be tailored to your needs and their structure depends highly on you: usually it is a mixture of repeating the content, solving exercises together, summarising important concepts and talking about exercises you tried yourself at home. The topics, content, pace and methods of learning will be adjusted to your needs, ensuring that you get the most out of my lessons. Besides the lessons, you will get "homework" to work on to strengthen your skills and independent working. Topics include, but are not limited to: -Linear Algebra -Calculus -Trigonometry -Geometry -Set Theory and Metrics -Analysis -Algebra -Numerical Analysis -Number Theory -Probability -Logic and Proofs -Galois Theory If you have another topic in mind that you really need help with, just send me a message! Whether you need someone that explains the concepts to you or just someone to practice exercises with - I am sure I can help you. You have an exam soon and want to review the main topics? No problem! You have a very specific problem, question or topic that you need help with? I'm here to answer any questions! The most important part of my lessons is, however, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment - I have no issue with explaining the same concept over and over again until I am convinced that you have understood it. It is important to me that you feel comfortable in asking any questions - I want to show you, that Math is more than a subject and that it can be fun!
