I am currently studying medicine at the RUG in Groningen and also provide extra lessons. I have passed exams in mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, Dutch, biology and economics. I have achieved satisfactory results in all subjects but usually give tutoring in mathematics, English and biology. I can also provide tutoring in the other courses. I can come to the pupil at home but the pupil can also come to me, in Vries, Zeijen or the UMCG in Groningen.

I have lived in India for 27 years and have followed all my studies there. I speak English and Hindi. I would like to spread my love and passion for Mathematics to my students. If you are a true beginner we will start with the basics of the Mathematics.

My goal is to offer my students pleasant learning experiences. I strive for an environment that cultivates a culture of trust, mutual respect, promotion of diversity and equal opportunities. I believe that every student learns differently. That is why I practice a student-centered approach where my students are strongly encouraged to actively participate in their own learning process.

I teach English, Mathematics and Economics.

For English, I can help with reading, writing and listening skills. I will do this in a way that it will also help you in practice, such as using online articles.

For Mathematics, I specialize in Mathematics A. I have always been good at Mathematics A and I would like to explain and pass on the way of working to others.

For Economy, I can explain the basics well. I can handle the advanced economic calculations, but I am not very good at explaining things, so it is more a matter of basics.

I am experienced in tutoring in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Dutch. My tutoring ensures that the student has more confidence in his knowledge and ability in the relevant subject. I am patient and I find it important that during the lessons the student feels at ease so that there is enough space for making mistakes and asking questions.

How is my lesson organized?

- In the first lesson I like to meet my tutoring students, we also discuss which tests, SOs or exams are coming up and which subjects you have problems with in the short term. We will deal with these topics first.

- In the lessons that follow, we first ensure that the upcoming tests are successfully completed and we make a plan of action. This action plan consists of a number of goals that we keep in mind. This way we can start writing down the dates of upcoming major exams and we will see what you want to achieve this year. This may be that you just want to pass this year, but also that you would like to get a higher grade than what you get now. You can also indicate that a certain skill is still difficult and you would like help with this.

Hoewel ik niet voor een carrière als docent heb gekozen, heb ik het (bij)lesgeven altijd erg leuk gevonden. En helemaal het moment waarop ik bij mijn leerling het kwartje zie vallen! As a second year medical student, I have an abundance of experience with learning mathematics and sciences. I took all three sciences and maths in my IBDP Diploma. Now, I am continuing to extensively develop my science and maths knowledge in my medicine course.

Maths and sciences are very interesting and important subjects, but can be quite challenging to learn independently. My tutoring is focussed on providing clear, structured, organised and engaging lessons to help with any confusion. I tailor my lessons to the students needs and encourage them to be active in their own learning through means of practice questions. I am someone who is kind, attentive, motivated and hard-working and these attributes come across in my tutoring sessions.

As a recent IB graduate with a score of 44/45 (All 7's in the Sciences and Maths), I know how to master the content of the IB diploma in a smart way. Since the IB diploma covers a very universal curriculum and my knowledge of sciences/maths is solid, I can also help in tutoring of other systems.
