Hello, I am an English student who recently started my Master's degree at UNIGE in translation from French to English. I did my BA at Newcastle University (in the UK) in French, German and Italian. I can teach English for all levels, and German and Italian for beginners. I am flexible, patient and optimistic I love helping you and deepening your language skills and seeing your progress. I adapt to your needs whether they are grammatical problems, vocabulary or British pronunciation.

This class is designed for anyone who wants to strengthen their foundations in English while becoming more confident in speaking and discussing in the language. Whether you’re a beginner or someone who wants to brush up on key grammar rules, this course offers a balance between theory and practice. The goal is simple: help you improve your understanding of English grammar while giving you real opportunities to speak, express yourself, and interact in English. We’ll work on the basic tenses, sentence structure, prepositions, common mistakes, vocabulary building but we’ll also go beyond textbook learning. Through guided discussions, role-playing, and real-life situations, you’ll learn how to use what you know in a natural and fluent way.

The form of the lessons adapts to the specific requests, needs and problems of the student. It may include one or more of the following: - help with homework - proofreading/corrections of written work - revisions for exams, essays, courses - help with presentations, talks etc. - learning English through exercises and/or conversations I also generally help with: - organization of a work / review plan, with creation of a calendar, division of labor etc. - memorization: different techniques and advice - the methodology: how to be efficient in your work and in your reading, how to take good notes etc. - concentration and stress management - general advice My studies at university allow me to have access to rare and useful resources for learning English, which can enrich the courses. They also helped me to be more efficient in researching and citing useful sources for courses, dissertations, presentations etc. Lessons can be given at the student's home, in a municipal library, in a UNIGE building, or by webcam (for example via Jitsi, which is free, practical, and has always worked well with my students).
