I believe the fastest way to get a feel for a language is to speak it, in a natural flow of conversation. I propose weekly classes of various different topics, about what is happening in the world, new films movies, culture, etc. whatever we choose to discuss in order to improve and correct your English.
Correction of texts and essay-planning is also possible !

Hello! I'm Farah and I have attended and graduated from the International School of Geneva. I took Chemistry, Biology and English Literature Higher Level in the IB, therefore I have experience and understanding in how to help other students succeed in this subject!

I have studied at the university of Geneva in Geology, and am currently pursuing photography as a career, and therefore would still like to contribute my knowledge in helping students in Chemistry or English writing.

Like any other language, one cannot simply excel by covering the written aspects such as grammar; practice in linguistics will be what really rounds off your level of both speaking and writing. I offer both understanding and explaining grammatical, prose, and poetry of the IB English course, as well as preparing various topics to discuss in order to expand your vocabulary and fluency when speaking, writing and doing the exams.

Effective speaking with an audience should not rely on boring PowerPoint slides. The ability to give a presentation is a much misused skill. Presenters regularly provide what interests themselves rather than their audience and couple this with the popular beliefe that we remember what we see in writing. A fact that is totally untrue.

Through dynamic, thought-provoking and self-challenging courses, couples with extensive practice, I will teach you the golden rules needed to organise your presentations, identify, engage with your audience and importantly adapt to your audience.

All speaking is a form of selling, whether it is a product, an idea, a project or even yourself to a company. Most people face nervousness and shyness when it comes to speaking in public. Although it could be learned by practice, it is a bad teacher unless it is not coupled with effective feedback.

Ask yourself, what do I want my audience to take from my presentation, what should they do with this information? If your audience does not take anything away or cannot do anything with this information, then you might just as well have been storytelling, perhaps well, but you have not given a good presentation.

This class is for academics, managers, business people and those interested in improving their presentation skills, body language, and structure of their talk in a simple and effective manner that everyone can remember.

My course is also intended for those seeking to improve their spoken language skills in Spanish and English. I am native in Spanish and fluent in English having recently finished my PhD in Humanitarian studies from the University of Manchester, UK.

I am a passionate coach with a strong academic background. I discovered my passion for teaching and mentoring others while travelling and working around the world with different NGOs and enterprises. I use an innovative methodology that put the students' strengths at the foreground to overcome shyness and fear when it comes to speaking in public. Being in the field of medical imagery, I am a person who has traveled a lot, lived in Argentina, in Spain, but also in Ireland and in France, I like to know other cultures, to travel and to share knowledge. I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student with a Masters in International Public Law (Amsterdam) and a Masters in Global development (University of Copenhagen). World traveler, I have lived in Thailand, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, US, Switzerland and many more countries, where I both dtudies and worked as a legal advisor.

I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught French, Dutch, and English to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus.

2021:
Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as Maths and French.

2017-2020:
I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught French, Mathematics, and English.

During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework.
