I am a passionate and dedicated tutor with a strong background in Biomedical Engineering. I hold a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).

Teaching is something I truly enjoy, as it allows me to share knowledge while also helping students grow in confidence and skills. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of each student, whether they prefer structured explanations, practical examples, or interactive problem-solving.

What benefits you get from my Teaching classes:

1) I am not very strict when it comes to extra time. We can extend a bit. +10 mins is no problem. I always think that long sessions with small pauses are better so that you get a grip of the topic.

2) I can teach in group as well as alone , what suits you best. In case you are out for a break and don't want to lag behind in comparison to what is going on in school we, can have some back to back classes in short time, if that suits you.

Teaching has been a long time passion for me. I have taught already some candidates (look testimonials below) and during my colleges days I have held classes with several group of students. After moving to University I was also delivering sessions for my classmates from different parts of the world and I was in-charge of specific experiment for Bachelors and Masters students as well for a year.

About Me
I had Mathematics and Science in my School time where I scored 95/100 in Maths and 99/100 in Sciences (Indian First stage of Scientific Education) and then 95/100 again in Mathematic for exams Just before University. Due to love for machines I pursued Mechanical Engineering and then specialized in Materials Science (Physics and Chemistry of Materials). In a nutshell I am a Materials Scientist.

With a background in mechanical engineering and a passion for teaching, I’m here to make math and physics clear and easy to understand. English and Mathematics A are exam subjects at Havo. Often these subjects are considered difficult, while with the right strategy, both should not be difficult. That's why I decided to tutor students in havo 5 so that they can get good marks on their exams. I am motivated to get the best out of all students and to make a lot of progress. My goal is not only to have the student get a 5.5, but a 7 or 8. Of course I can't give any guarantees, but, if you take extra lessons you have a good chance of success ;)

Who is actually the tutor?
I am Michael and with my 54 years a lot of life experience but also experience as a (1st degree) teacher in Mathematics and Physics. My 3 children aged 12 to 18 also make sure that I know how to deal with this interesting but sometimes difficult to understand target group 😏. I have taught at all levels from VMBO 2 to VWO 6 and HBO.
Benefits 1 on 1 tutoring
1 on 1 tutoring has the great advantage that the tutor can efficiently zoom in on the specific needs of the student. Results are therefore visible in a much shorter period of time. A result can be higher test results and more confidence in the subject during lessons or doing homework. The result is often that the student no longer looks forward to the subject and even starts to like the subject. In short: it's all about experiencing a successful experience.
Activating work forms
A student learns best when he or she is actively involved with the material. That is why it is important that every student is actively involved during the tutoring.
