My name is Ignasi, and I can help you to improve your piano/music skills. With more than 4 years of experience teaching piano and solfege to children and adults, efficiency and perseverance are both very important in this amazing world of music. I graduated in Barcelona and now I’m getting my Master diploma at Ferenc Liszt Music Academy in Budapest. I can teach for all levels and ages of piano students. Hello :) I am so excited that you are interested in music and especially that you are looking to start learning how to play the piano! I am offering private piano lessons, to any age or level. I teach children, starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications, e.g. ABRSM music exams, amateurs or simply people who want to learn how to play and enjoy music, of any age. I always start by teaching and explaining the importance of the hand's position, the importance of the arms and the use of the whole body while playing the piano. During the lessons, we will be working on piano technique (giving great importance to the p movement of the finger and the use of the weight on the keys), the understanding of the musical language, the expression of the personality through the music. My way of teaching, adjusts to the age, the character and the personality of the student. I am always using a lot of examples in order to make my point and especially in young ages, the most of the lesson's activities, have the sense of a game for the children.

From beginners to advanced I am happy to guide you towards your goal. Preparation for ABRSM and TRINITY exams. I was trained in Hungary from early on with the Kodály-method, then I went to study in Vienna and London, where I got my Master degree. I have been teaching since I started university and visited a few countries. Having such a colorful past, surely I can offer you a wide range of possibilities to learn and also to enjoy music.

Through my courses I will teach all levels of piano playing. My approach will consist of forming an individual repertoire according to each student's needs. In case that students want to integrate piano lessons with composing, that is also something I would strongly encourage, since piano is the most frequently used instrument for composing music.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. The purpose of this course is to help students develop their musical sensibility as (classical) pianists. Whether it be online or in person-- though in person is preferred, as it makes teaching more engaging--, classes will consist of a play-through of a specific repertoire followed by advice on technique, interpretation and practice methods. The students can bring their own pieces to play or I can provide some myself, and the goal will be to ensure that this is played faithfully with respect to the score, but most importantly, musically, and in this way to rapidly but securely build repertoire.

I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide). I love teaching all ages. I don't teach everyone the same way. I tailor lessons according to individual goals and needs. I insist on the importance of technique and musicality. I also guide all my students even outside of the teaching time, by responding to all their questions (music theory or technical) and sending them videos. I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits. My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students with their Piano Exams like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grade 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas). I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. They made great progress, I am sure you could do the same. I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.
