Math lessons with a software and electrical engineer

Need a math tutor? I can help at all levels. I pursued two master's degrees in engineering (software and electronics), and worked as a TA in subjects like Algebra, Calculus, Probability, and Statistics, among others, at the University of Buenos Aires for a bit over eight years. I am passionate about math and, most of all, about explaining it in terms that make it simple, engaging and actually fun. As an engineer, I love integrating technology into the class, and giving examples of how math is used in real-life applications.

    About Me

Ever since I can remember I've been interested in math, languages, and computers. I didn't understand it when I was a child, but they would become my passions later on in life, and my foundation for my professional life as an adult.

Hi, I'm Ignacio. I studied both software engineering and electrical engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (and linguistics, ahem, on my own in my spare time). I worked as a TA for a bit over 8 years in subjects like Algebra, Calculus, Probability, and Statistics, among a few others. I worked in the private sector as an engineer for over a decade. I'm passionate about explaining in simple, yet thorough and engaging, terms any topic related to those things I like since I was a child.

Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Math tutoring for high school students
As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material! We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition. The sessions generally take place according to the following stages: 1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps. 2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises. 3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach. 4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course. I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach. In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.

    Maths and Physics tutor.
As a physics major, I have already seen my fair share of math and science. Therefore I choose to make mysrlf available to help those in need. When I was in school, my classmates often turned to me for explanations as I was comfortable with the subjects but was also very patient when someone struggled. I can help you do your homework or explain concepts again up until final year of secondary school.

Mathematics for School/University Students. Mathematics Classes from an Experienced Olympiad Mathematician for any Levels !
As a School Student, I have always wondered why certain things, especially in Mathematics, are taught without explanations ? And why Some Teachers are not able to Teach even though They are Teachers ? Maybe They do not Try their Best ? These questions stayed in the back of My Head since then...and I remember promising Myself: "If I am ever gonna Teach Someone, I am going to make Sure that I teach to share Knowledge, not so that He or She memorizes concepts to pass the Exam" ! And I hope to hold that Promise !

Maths and physics lessons from high school to university's master level
I believe that everyone is capable of learning anything, provided that the quality of explanations is customized to fit their unique way of thinking. My approach is centered around cultivating empathy and gaining a profound insight into how my students' minds function. Through my experience, I have learned that there are no inherently difficult topics or subjects; a teacher can make any concept understandable by presenting it in a manner that aligns with the individual's cognitive framework. Maths and physics may not be considered easy subjects by some. However, I hold a different perspective. As an educator, my objective is to accomplish effective communication that fosters a genuine comprehension of the subject, using numerous real-life cases and examples.

Math for School Students, English as a Second Language
As a young engineering student who's studied and spoken English all his life, I have a complete grasp on math and english subjects that I use everyday. My goal is to help students who need an extra push to understand certain concepts, and to give them the tools required to succeed at school, or an added understanding of colloquial and scholarly English. The focus of my tutoring method is to allow the student to spend more time on a subject in order to become independent in their way of learning math, but also more confident in their manner of speaking English. These lessons will be tailored to each student, as I plan on doing complete research on the needs of every one in order to not waste time on things they already have a complete grasp of.

Let’s Turn Maths Into Your Favorite Subject, play with maths
my method of teaching focus foremost on clearing fundamentals to the core, not just how ? but why this and why not that? .... after understanding fundamentals you are ready to learn the way of problem solving , now this is the stage of rigour practice , as that's what yield perfection . i have got a lot experience with maths , as a student who made it to maths olympiad and got jee 98.7 %ile and then as a corporate employee who used to solve maths problems as a hobby in freetime to open brain in new dimensions . what i believe is if a person really understand maths in simplest terms without any rush ,as naturally as possible , maths become the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to him/her ... it not just help in academics but in designing most efficient brain that can thing out of the box .... maths is a way to become more and more genius...

Tutoring in physics and mathematics, primary to university level
During a regular school curriculum, the material to be assimilated can be considerable, so much so that many concepts are only understood superficially, just enough to pass an exam. In my opinion, it is essential to establish a solid foundation before building new knowledge. The course is therefore structured as follows: - Review of relevant physical and mathematical concepts prior to the course. - Course overview: We identify the key concepts, what is well understood and less well understood by the student, in which case misunderstandings are addressed. - Practice: We put new concepts into practice through a series of exercises aimed at anchoring the learning. - Summary: I like to conclude each session with a discussion where the roles are reversed: the student explains the concepts covered in their own words. It is often by trying to teach in turn that we highlight our misunderstandings — and really consolidate our knowledge! "If you cannot explain something simply, it is because you have not understood it well." - Albert Einstein - Written record: I give lessons via videoconference, with a tablet and stylus as a visual aid. Notes are taken on Notability and are shared at the end of the session.

A little math and test prep
I'm a mathematics teacher currently studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Didactics. I enjoy doing mathematics and I love thinking and researching new methods so you can do mathematics too. Did you know that every piece of mathematical knowledge arose from a problem in society at the time? If they could understand it, you can too!
