Are you willing to learn how to play the piano? In this class, you can learn how to play this incredible instrument, as well as develop music theory knowledge such as reading scores, basic harmony, and rhythm. You will also learn how to develop your own musical ideas and find a personal way to express them!

Students of all ages can contact me to follow private lessons live in Brussels or Antwerp or online (via Zoom). I am a classical/jazz-trained pianist and composer who graduated "magna cum laude" with a Master's degree in Composition at the Royale Conservatoire of Antwerp. As a pianist and music teacher, I have several years of experience in private and public schools in Italy and I'm now teaching at the Royale Conservatoire of Antwerp. I am familiar with the classical and jazz repertoire as well as with 20th and 21st-century music. I'm passionate about introducing this beautiful and exciting field of art and its related knowledge.

If you don't have any music experience or if you already know music and want to develop or study a particular argument, my classes focus on the construction of a personalized study trajectory and methods based on the level, interests, and expectations of the student! The most important thing for me is to keep creativity and interest always stimulated for you to develop or continue to grow your love for music!

My name is Davide, I come from Trani, a small city in south Italy. I started learning music and playing piano when I was 6 y.o. and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Artistic Research (Composition) at the Royale Conservatoire of Antwerp/AP University. As an artist, I consider myself an explorer of sounds and I'm always searching for new ways to express myself. With my students, I love to share experiences, enthusiasm, and music knowledge always searching for a personalized approach.

Learning to play the piano is like learning another language, it is the language of the body in harmony with the music.
I teach my students to have a musical thought to better understand the technique and I work on body gestures to make it easier to adapt to the instrument.
I can learn to read and write music, have notions of music theory, play classical music, songs, movie music, ...
I have a Master in Solo Piano and a Master in Chamber Music from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

Before saying who I am, I would like to first address my to be fellows who wish to join me in this beautiful journey of Music.

I am offering personalized Piano sessions (indeed interactive sessions and not just lessons) for various age groups and levels in 5 languages (English, Russian, Czech, Spanish and German).

For your ease, I have tried to summarize all necessary information in below points:

- You are very welcomed to acquire skills on Classical Piano playing as well as basic Jazz and modern music
- I will adapt the techniques, guidance and suggestions as per your expectation, level and understanding

Who I am?

I had a great interest in music since my childhood and I knew that its the only way for me. I am a classical pianist with 17 years of experience. I am graduate of Prague Conservatory and Conservatory Jsroslav Jezek, from where I obtained the college degree. I am as well alumni of Conservatori Liceu (Barcelona, Spain). After two years of BA music degree at Consrvatori Liceu, I switched to Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where I am pursuing my university degree currently.

During my tenure I have participated in many competitions, such as The Wiener Klassik International Competition in Vienna, Sergei Prokofiev's International Piano Competition in Prague, International Piano Competition in Cøpenhagen, Györ and many more.
Also, I am active as a concertmaster. Some of the highlights are, concerts in Belgium(Brussels, Namur), Prague, Cøpenhagen, Vienna, Györ, Barcelona, Badalona and Nürnberg. Furthermore I am an active chamber musician.

I am giving private lessons since 2013.

Hi! I’m Lucia, classical cellist from Madrid. I studied with international te known teachers as N. Shakhovskaya and D. Geringas, and I was working in Spain with the Spanish Radio TV orchestra, Spanish National Orchestra, OSPA, and contemporary music ensemble Plural Ensemble. Also I have teaching experience since 12 years, having worked privately and in Centro Superior Katarina Gurska.
I also play piano, I studied it since I was 3-4 years old because my father is a pianist and he was teaching me.

Concernant le contenu du cours je le module en fonction de vos attentes et objectifs.

Je lie systématiquement le travail concret de l'instrument ( Classique, Variété ou Jazz ) avec un apprentissage minimal des éléments de base de la pratique musicale en général : théorie de la musique, formation de l'oreille intérieure, développement de la sensibilité harmonique, mélodique et rythmique, solfège etc... Je peux volontiers aborder tout cela plus profondément à la demande de l'élève, c'est passionnant aussi vous verrez !

La première rencontre sera l'occasion de discuter de tout cela, afin de mettre en place un cadre adopté à votre profil (Jeune enfant débutant, adolescent confirmé, adulte en reprise ou autres...)

Je considère que l'essentiel est de trouver un bon équilibre entre les exigences de rigueur inévitables pour progresser dans l'apprentissage du piano et le plaisir immédiat de jouer de la musique, qu'on est en droit d'attendre d'un si bel instrument !

FR / Moi : Je joue du banjo depuis 6 ans, seul ou en petit groupe. Je fais régulièrement des concerts. J'anime des ateliers musicaux depuis 4 ans et je donne des cours de banjo depuis 1 an.

Les Cours : Vous apprendrez la technique du clawhammer, et non le picking bluegrass. C'est une technique utilisée dans le banjo 5 cordes traditionnel américain. J'ai un grand répertoire de morceaux au banjo et de chansons, c'est ce que nous apprendrons ensemble. Nous pouvons aussi apprendre un morceau de votre choix du répertoire country blues.

ENG / Me : I play banjo for 6 years, alone or with a small band. I gig regularly. I conduct music workshops for 4 years and give banjo lessons for 1 year.

The Classes : You will learn the clawhammer technique, it's different from the bluegrass picking technique. It's used in traditionnal american 5 string banjo. I have a large repertoire of banjo songs and tracks, that's what we are going to learn together. You can also ask me to learn a specific song in the country blues field.

My name is Jose and I am currently an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo.
