Trombone, Piano, Cello, Improvisation and Music Theory Lessons
From 49.89 € /h
I give instrumental lessons in trombone, piano, cello and music theory lessons. I aim to provide a thorough grounding in fundamental technique, whilst allowing the student to explore the music that they are interested in. I can help pupils achieve grades but I do not focus extensively on moving through grades, in favour of exploring a broader range of music and styles.

About Me
I’m a trombonist, cellist, pianist and composer/arranger currently living in London. I began learning music when I was five, and began to study cello, piano and trombone over the following three years. I gained a diverse set of musical experiences growing up, from playing principle trombone with the National Children’s Orchestra to reaching the semi-final of the BBC Young Jazz Musician Award in 2016 and 2018. In 2020 I graduated from Cambridge with a first-class degree in Music and I am currently studying towards an MA in jazz trombone at the Royal Academy of Music. With experience in both classical and jazz spheres I have a great interest in a broad range of music and sharing it with others. I also regularly volunteer at CYE, a multi-activity youth centre on the south coast where I enjoy running crazy summer camps!
I believe that music is first and foremost something to be enjoyed, hence I aim to make lessons engaging, the instrument exciting and facilitate students to explore the music that they are interested in. Lessons involve a strong grounding in proper technique on the instrument, an exposure to a broad range of techniques and styles and an individually nuanced attention to repertoire. My broad experience in jazz and improvisation is an aspect that I like to bring into teaching, whether that is a desired main focus or simply something different and extra.
