A previous Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle student, I am bilingual in English and in French and can therefore offer classes in English to all ages, including GCSE students as I did the international Option of the baccalauréat (OIB). Moreover, I can offer classes in French too as I am as fluent in both languages.

I am looking to tutor English and Maths at any ability up to A-Level standard, and any subject up to 13+ (including verbal/non verbal reasoning). I achieved all A* at GCSE and A-Level. I have done a child protection course, a first aid course, and I am DBS checked. I also have a TEFL qualification. I have had a lot of experience working with children and teenagers both in a tutoring environment and others(ski instructing/dance and drama coaching). I am also able to provide assistance with LAMDA exams (or any UK acting qualifications) having gained distinctions through to Grade 8. I’ve also had experience with the National Youth Theatre, so can help with audition prep.

Since the Gymnasium I give tutoring Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Latin and language courses Latin languages Portuguese Spanish French and Italian from basic or beginner level to Gymnasium level. For primary school students also arithmetic for example with fractions and percentages and all other modules. Also Dutch grammar and spelling.

This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

English is falsely presented as an easy language, especially by French speakers. This is a serious mistake! While French is often difficult because of the many grammatical exceptions, particularly regarding spelling, English is endowed with immense complexity in terms of its sounds. Whereas the French speaker complains about itchy eyes, the English speaker will have difficulty hearing you, and no, it's not snobbery; their ear has been educated in a more subtle way. The greatest difficulties in English come from its chaotic sounds, which at first seem absurd or even useless, while they are proof of the many influences and transformations of this language, which has become the de facto lingua franca almost everywhere on the planet. To simplify, English is the result of a Germanic invasion of Celtic lands, Latinized by Vikings speaking Old French from Normandy. The syntax is originally Germanic, but the auxiliary verb do is Celtic, and more than half of its vocabulary is Latin or French! In short, English is much more complex and subtle than it seems, and it's not for nothing that most French speakers pronounce it badly!
