I'm an italian professional violinist graduated in the Hochschule der Kunste in Bern and a member of Argovia philharmonic, Sinfonietta Lausanne and City Light Symphony Orchestra. I teach children and adults from beginner to advanced level. My classes are for everyone! I adapt my teaching method to every student's profile, wish and need in order to learn faster and improve violin skills having fun. We can choose the repertoire together, from classical to modern and popular music. I have more than 7 years of teaching experience, I speak italian, english and spanish.

My name is Gianni, I'm a professional musician, currently living in Basel and doing my master's degree in double bass at the Musik Akademie Basel. I've been playing and studying music since I was 7 years old; I started with classical guitar, then electric guitar and electric bass, then I started double bass and lately I'm learning saxophone. I would say my main instruments are guitar and bass and I have been teaching these for 5 years to students of different levels and different aspirations. For me it is very important to understand what the student wants and needs to guide him on the best path; I also try to always make the classes a fun learning environment. I could teach at my school - the jazz camps, in Basel - or at the student's home.

I offer personalised lessons for all levels, from beginners to advanced players. My teaching focuses on developing solid technique, musical expression, and confidence, always tailored to each student’s goals and interests. In flute/piccolo lessons, we work on tone, technique, breathing, and a wide range of repertoire. Music theory lessons cover everything from the basics to more advanced topics, including harmony, rhythm, ear training, and score reading. Whether you are approaching music making for the first time or desire to deepen your understanding of music, lessons are structured to support and inspire. Lessons are open to all ages, and I aim to create a focused yet enjoyable learning environment.

For anyone who wants to learn the violin or perfect their skills. Extensive experience with private students and music schools in Austria. There is an option to give lessons at home, online or if I am with the student I charge extra. If necessary, I will provide the teaching materials. Lessons in German, English or Spanish.

My name is Léna, and I offer violin lessons for all ages and skill levels. I have many years of experience in private teaching and am currently completing my Master of Pedagogy at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Basel. As an MA Performance graduate of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, one of my greatest passions is engaging with historically informed performance practice. I look forward to exploring the world of gut strings, short and long bows, different pitches, and, if you're feeling particularly adventurous, the various positions of the baroque violin with you! I teach according to the principles of the Alexander Technique, paying attention to physical health and the sustainability of the playing. I apply this in my teaching; I find it very important to closely tailor the lessons, exercises, and method to the goals and personality of the students. I'm really looking forward to accompanying you on your musical journey!

I am a piano teacher with over 30 years of experience, passionate about nurturing musical talent at every age and level. I have taught at esteemed institutions such as the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna, and many of my students have gone on to succeed in auditions at top conservatories like the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. My students have also won national and international competitions including Premio Crescendo (Florence), Prima la Musica (Austria), the Grand Prize Virtuoso (Los Angeles, New York, Vienna, Berlin, Salzburg), and the Brno Mozart International Piano Competition. Over the years, I have developed a unique and effective method for teaching young children, starting from age 3, all the way to university-level students and adult beginners. My approach focuses on developing a strong ear and making learning both joyful and fulfilling. Outside of teaching, I love spending time outdoors with my dogs, reading, playing tennis, and enjoying time with my daughter.

As scientists admit, music improves language skills, logical thinking, concentration, and has therapeutical effect on us. For me, playing the violin has proved to be that and much more. It has been connecting all the elements of my life - work, dreams of travelling around the world, my social life, my family. They say it is one of the most difficult instruments, but the truth is, it is difficult only if you make it difficult. My aim is to make my students fascinated by it any time they take it in their hands. In my work I concentrate on the needs and interests of the student and work on technique, music knowledge and joy in playing through games, special excercises and my own 27 years of experience in playing the violin.

Let me teach you to use your voice in a natural, healthy and powerful way. We will work on a variety of music suited to your interests. My experience in yoga also informs my style of teaching in that we will focus on correct posture and breathing to help you find your very own voice!

Based on the curiosity and concerns of the student, we will work on different aspects of the singing habit such as technique, expression, body awareness or style while finding the comfort and the pleasure in the act of making music. Complementary exercises as ear training, solfege or musical history can be also part of the learning process as long as it's useful or enriching for the student. Starting with the flute as first instrument, I discovered the voice while singing in choir and became passionate about it. As a professional choir singer I have worked under the batton of conductors such as Jordi Savall, Ton Koopman or Simon Halsey. As a soloist, I debuted at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the cicle of contemporary chamber operas OH!PERA. After working in Barcelona as a singer, choir conductor and singing teacher I came to Basel to explore further on vocal performance and pedagogy, studying at the Musik Akademie Basel under the guidance of Marcel Boone.

Music enables our mind to better focus on feelings, skills, interactions with the others, communications and concentration. Making our soul thinking "musically" gives us the possibility to see the world from a different perspective and to develop our creativity! My lessons are designed for kids, teens and adults. In my career, my life is frozen, my Lust, my Motivation, and my Ratschläge, my life is erroneous. Even though the settings are individual and personal, the programs are different. Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day has gone by without me saying to myself that motivation and pleasure are the greatest drivers of learning. This is why I always favor a relaxed and work-friendly atmosphere during my classes. Technique is of course of great importance to me. I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola which I practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

Music is an amazing way of expressing you emotions and feelings, connec your mind and soul while developing mental and motor skills. I am singer, classically trained with a main focus in early music and voice embodiment. I also studied recorder, clarinet and musicology. As a teacher and performer, I focus on a joyful, healthy and technically skilled way of singing. I focus not only on the sound production, but also on body posture, relaxation and organic movement. An happy and relaxed body creates a beautiful, natural and relaxed sound. We choose the repertoire together and work together towards developing your voice, your expressivity, text and style interpretation at your fullest potential. I have experience teaching several music genres, from classical, jazz, pop, folk music and even extended vocal techniques like growls. I am quite open to the students requests and always willing to research deeper and expand my vocal vocabulary. Singing is a vulnerable, intimate and also communal act. Sadly, our modern world has mystified it into the sphere of the "born-talent" ideal, which often scares people from even trying to sing. I find this phenomena a cruel and exclusivist perspective on singing. I consider singing an universal right, and we should all be unashamed of singing, be it in your bathtub, while walking on the street, in a dinner with friends, or in the next open stage at your local bar. We all have the capacity and the right to sing. If anybody has told you that you can't sing, they were wrong. Like any skill, you can learn it. And if you sing, you, your body, and your soul will be happier. One of my students once said: "You come for a singing lesson and you discover something new about who you are". I think that would summarize well the space I try to create in my lessons.

I love to teach and I am always happy to discover new things with my students, I think there is always something new to learn from both sides. For me it's very important to create a good atmosphere for the students, and that they feel comfortable during the lessons. I like to provide them as much as I can and make this process of learning a very special adventure. My lessons are more in the direction of developing the student’s musical ideas. I have the experience: I graduated with honors from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, taught gifted children in Minsk, and am currently studying at the Basel Academy of Music in Switzerland. Whether you're an aspiring virtuoso or just want to play for pleasure, all are welcome! The main thing is a desire to learn; we’ll master the rest together. Lessons are friendly and relaxed, with a bit of patience, a bit of persistence—and soon, the music will start flowing!
