Students practice listening and pronunciation as one group and then develop and present paired conversations.
Students listen and dictate ten short sentences, e.g., The teacher has a book.. First they listen and repeat, next listen and write and third, listen and check their answers.
Students listen to the same ten sentences in a different order and choose the most appropriate response, e.g., a) It has one, b) They have one and c) He has one.
Student practice pronouncing paired words from the earlier sentences, e.g., thanks - sank. Students recite sentences using the pared words in context and finally review their pronunciation using a short quiz.
Last, students develop their own conversations in pairs and present, Peers and instructor provide feedback.
