BastienPedagogical student gives private lessons of Dutch at home in Brussels
This course is for learners of all ages and all levels. Whether you want an intensive immersion course or a more relaxed experience to understand the basics of the language and learn to cope. My method is based on the active teaching techniques that I practice on a daily basis in my studies: I do not work by translation, but I build the meaning of the language from the beginning with the learner. Thus, the learner learns the language as a native would, and has a knowledge of it not only theoretical, but also practical.
It is a slightly slower method than traditional translation learning, but it has the advantage of being designed to leave a lasting mark on the learner's memory and practices.
ThibaultLearning Dutch is easy! private lessons
I am a 22 year old student who has always been in a Dutch language school system. My family is of Flemish origin but Francophone so I always played with both at home. Thanks to this it is very easy for me to introduce Dutch with simple and structured explanations while adapting to the level of the student. My goal is to learn Dutch in a fun way, because unlike its reputation Dutch is a nice and nice language when we know it. Your children or yourself will appreciate the patience and motivation that I have when it comes to initiating.

How I teach:
1 - Your level and objective(s)
At the start, we will discuss your level and objectives. This way I can efficiently give you the help that you need.
2 - Open communication
I have an open way of teaching in which I encourage students to keep telling me what their difficulties are or where they would like to improve. In my experience, this saves a lot of time and also makes the lessons more fun.
3 - Simplify instead of complicate
I am good at listening and understanding why students are having difficulties with certain issues. This way I can simplify the issue and teach Dutch in an easy and understandable way.
4 - Involved
I am involved with my students' objectives and am constantly looking for the best and most efficient way to make progress.

AdriaanDutch for all levels, for kids, teenagers and adults.
I teach Dutch to beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. I am from Rotterdam, so I am a Dutch native speaker. During the lessons I write all the information on a Google doc. After each session I assign homework for the next session. Between two sessions students can always ask me any question about the things we discussed in the lesson. I am bilingual Spanish/Dutch so I can use Spanish, English, but also German as a bridge language.
LiesbetDutch lesson for non-native speakers and (non-native) children
As non-native parents it is certainly not easy to teach your children Dutch or to help with the fluency of the new language. Who wants some extra exercise for his children? I can help you with that. As their vocabulary becomes more and more extensive and their sentences become increasingly fluid, your children will get more and more self-confidence. Good mastery of the Dutch language is certainly in their favor both now and later.
Do your children need some help with their homework, especially with their Dutch, then I can help with that.
Even as non-native-speaking adults, it is sometimes difficult to have enough exercise. That is why adults who want to make progress in speaking the Dutch language are welcome here! We can practice the everyday language together. Conversing is the best way to learn a new language.
CarinaLearn Dutch or Flemish language from a native speaker.
Cosy private lessons for everybody
I try to make my online lessons as cosy as possible. I use the video-conference system, so I can see my students and they can see me; we can talk, we make the exercises together, I explain all the grammar, and if my students have any doubt or questions, I explain it orally which I think makes it easier to be understood.
It is as if we were sitting in an office side by side. The only thing we cannot do is drinking a coffee while we study.
Besides the lessons, I always send some homework. I will send a book that we follow, and the rest of the material is sent by me by e-mail as well.
As soon as it is possible, I advise my students to start reading books in the language they learn, and from the very beginning to start listening to the TV. It is a way of being surrounded by the language.
I always insist a lot on the accent, and this helps. I have students with a perfect accent. Listening to the language also helps to open the hears to the sounds, making easier to understand. From the very beginning I also start with small conversations in each lesson.
You may believe that all my students are being very successful with this kind of lessons. I have now students from all over the world. Concerning the level my students attain, ofcourse it depends on them.
Together we see what your needs are and how fast you want to learn.
As for the number of lessons per week, I advise that you should have at least two. Less than two is very little and you have a long break between lessons. It is bad because you don't have any contact with the language and feel that you are advancing very slowly.
We can also have lessons in the weekend if that is easier for you.
