Native from Geneva, I speak French fluently and I learned and developed my English while living in the United States, Canada, and Ireland. Later on, I completed my bachelor in Education at McGill University. Throughout my degree, I taught in different environments, from public primary school to private secondary and from Montreal to a Cree community.
In the past few years, I developed a wide portfolio of activities that will suit different levels and different learners. I am inspired by principles of alternative and critical pedagogies: defining the students' goals according to their needs, their learning style, and their cultural background, as well as creating a fair and supportive environment. With a pinch of technology, art, and games, I believe that language learning can be not only a precious professional skill but also a life experience.

Hello everyone,
My name is Lisa, I am originally from France and Switzerland and I have spent the last 7 years studying and working in Canada while traveling the world.
At the age of 15, I packed my bags and completed my junior year of high school in the United States. That's where I learned to speak English fluently and lost my French accent. I followed my passion for language learning and completed a bachelor in Teaching English as a Second Language at McGill University. During my degree, I spent a year abroad, split between Dublin and East Africa.
I keep my students interested and focused by mixing skills such as grammar, vocabulary, speaking, reading, writing, listening, according to your needs and goals. I also believe that a language is part of a global culture and it can be taught through art, technology, media... After our first meeting, where we will evaluate the areas to improve, I will create a program that will gradually help you achieve your goals.
